It's gonna be someone from Italy, someone they know and have good history with hopefully.

Why don't we just ask Fark Smith who the Pozzo's have appointed. We can all promise to click on his website 10 times each if he tells us.

A glimpse at our recent history shows most of our managers have had to leave us to achieve better things. Jackett gets Wolves a promotion, Rodgers comes within a whisker of the Premier League title, Mackay gets a promotion from the Championship and comes within a spotkick of winning the League Cup, Dyche gets a promotion to the Championship.

Just for once it would be nice if our next appointment achieves something for US!

Hopefully he's stuck down a well.

Seriously, I will quit support for this club if he is appointed.

Troy Deeney already does virtually everthing at the club, why not chuck him in the manager's seat as well?

Hoofroyd bucks the trend though. Wd do have a history of plucking decent managers from obscurity. It will be interesting to see what Sannino does next.

The Pozzos intentions have been made clear this season. It's promotion time. I think we need an English league experienced manager, preferably with a few languages under his belt.

I couldn't make my mind up on Hughton, Garcia etc. but ultimately it comes down to this: as long as he knows this league and can speak English, he has my backing.

I hope you're happy with yourselves McGugan and Dyer. Look what you've gone and done!

Tbf done a smashing job with Fulham.

As for McDermott, not too sure. Although with Gibbs by his side they would certainly be pumped to succeed.

How can people be so against Mcdermott. Has achieved promotion from this league recently and was doing a decent job at Leeds until it turned Into a circus.

He's a miserble SOB that takes himself way to seriously. Never gives any credit to the opposition. Plays old-school hoofball. Failed at Dirty Leeds, for whatever reason.

    I could go on.

So we want promotion from this division but we are very quick to dismiss the thought of any manager who has ever achieved such a feat, McDermott, Hughton etc?!!!

We moan it will probably be 'another unknown Italian with no experience of our country or league' but then we complain about every domestic name that's mentioned, or if it's a foreigner that's managed here before?!!!

The attacking football under Zola was a joy to watch and I've have him back in a shot for that, but the defence and tactics wasn't so good! Maybe we have to rein in our expectations a bit and compromise. A season full of ground out 1-0 wins on the road sufficed for the likes of Burnley and Hull.

He is an ugly version of Sannino in every way, from football to hairstyle.

  32. CarlosKickaballs

    CarlosKickaballs Forum Picarso

I don't care if it's an unknown Italian because all the English-experienced ones we're looking at are proven failures or **** to watch.

Now the WO are denying we're interested in McDermott.

I would much, much rather someone like McDermott, Hughton or Howe than Garcia or another Italian journeyman. Gianluca Festa and suchlike can fark off.

Regarding Garcia, did he really do that good a job for Brighton last season? They snuck into 6th place if I remember correctly because no one else seemed to want it. I think they also got pummelled in the playoffs and were out fairly quickly. I don't believe that just because he or any other manager got his team into the playoffs, we should take them seriously.

There is no way in hell I'd want Zola back here. As much as I like him as a bloke, it was shown after his departure as to how much of a joke his training sessions were. Not enough emphasis on ball work apparently. I don't want a manager who is best mates with the players, I want a manager who is going to get us promoted and as pretty as Zola's attacking football was, he had absolutely no plan B and we suffered badly on the pitch because of it.
