New Manager

Whether we like it or not we're getting a new manager.

For me Garcia is the obvious choice, knows the league and did well in his stint at Brighton. If we get another unknown manager who'll have to learn the league/system etc I'll fear the worst. Surely we won't get another manager who can't speak English?

Garcia did well last year, sure Brighton didn't concede a lot last year.

As its been said in other threads, hasselbaink was at the game; could be something in that.

But for me it going to be someone who can work under the D.o.F system, so most likely another one from the Italian leagues

 

Guidolin would be my bet and he's not even on that list...

I don't want Garcia. He resigns from every job he gets. We want someone who's up for the challenge, and won't walk away when someone like Dyer spits his dummy.

Managing a squad like ours is no easy task, and I don't think he's got the mettle.

 

People I categorically don't want:

Hughton - Not a long term manager and he plays the most boring football you'll see, wouldn't fit our players at all.

Mackay - Obvious reasons.

Galli - Fear it'll be much of the same.

Zola - It failed once, it'll fail again.

 

3-5-2 experience is key for me.

 

Is convent how Garcia resigned from his job pretty soon after the player unrest came out. Wouldn't be surprised if we had anything to do with that, he was at the game yesterday as well apparently.

 

Galli is a legend in Italy and would get the respect of at least the Italian clique. Has experience of the league, never wanted to leave the last time as he wanted to stay as a coach. May be able to sort out the defence as was one of Italy's top defenders, don't know about his English it wasn't great the last time I spoke to him but better than Sannino's

 

Garcia is not the personality we require at Watford. The man is a bloody pansy.

Fillipo Galli... I'd be happy to give him a go, if the Pozzos feel he has the credentials. I liked him as a player, and he always struck me as quite an intelligent bloke. He could do well.

 

He didn't do well at Brighton. He introduced a slow dull style of football that their fans hated.

 

He got a pretty average squad to 6th place with the best defence in the league. It's obvious that we'll score goals with our options so i'm all for having a manager who'll sort out the defence.

 

Once more, Guidolin for me, fits every part of the role.

It's a no brainer.

 

Brighton were the worst team at the Vic last year.

I'd have Malky back in a flash. Won't happen though.

 

Galli, Zola, Matteo or Sherwood would be fine by me. Really don't want Garcia though.

 

Galli is one of the classiest player ever to wear a yellow shirt, but he has nowhere near enough experience for this job. Assistant, yes. Head of academy, yes. Head coach, sorry no.

 

Just put a hundred on Pulis at 40/1. Easy money.

 

Probably more to do with Hamas rockets falling down on his city. IMO

Agreed. It's all well and good him being something of a club cult hero, but this season has so much potential.

I don't want to waste it giving Galli his first management job, when he might not actually be any good.
