He so badly wants to see us go down he's taken to predicting us to win now? I'd say West Ham win would be many neutrals bet of the day. Plus our record against them is pretty bad and football has a habit of keeping these going (our clean sheet run against Stoke for example). I am really looking forward to this one and do not want to appear negative for the second week in a row but I'm going for a reverse psychology West Ham win.
Wow. We've truly made it now. This is the pinnacle of our season so far and why we wanted promotion to the Premier League.
Like Stuboy, I completely forgot I chose the West Ham match. What the h*ll was I thinking? Probably made the prediction before West Ham got really good away from home. Prize? Give it to Stuboy.
If you folks think we have a problem with Mark Lawrenson, just consider the fact that the West Ham forum has 120 pages dedicated to him.
West Ham United FC @whufc_official 5h5 hours ago LAWRO: @BBCSport 'football expert' Mark Lawrenson has excelled with his #WHUFC and @WatfordFC predictions so far...
I've just realised - his punditry will be judged at the end of the season on how close his table is to the actual table. Therefore at this stage he can have free shots with teams like Watford - if he gets it wrong and we lose he will still look better as the gap between his predicted table and the real table will close. edit: of course this week as we are playing West Ham any prediction will have at least 1 of the teams closer to the real position. But the principle applies.
Why the heck do they ask Lawro to do predictions? They just make him look like he hasn't a clue & a massive idiot. It's almost as if they want to get rid of him.
He has to be the most apathetic creature ever to have trodden the planet. I picture him being shown the pyramids, the Sistine Chapel and all the remaining wonders of the ancient world and him shrugging and saying in that ever so slightly camp voice... 'So?'
He's gone for 1-1 this week, his opponent this week is local loudmouth the Wealdstone Raider, his predictions aren't up yet
Lawro is at it again. He has predicted a 2-1 win to Palarse this weekend. In Lawro's world based on his weekly predictions, Aston Villa would be bottom on 6 points but the next three would be Watford on 12pts, West Ham on 15pts and Leicester on 20pts. And the BBC presumably waste our licence fee paying this buffoon. How can you get it wrong so often and keep your job?
So as I understand it, if we (or come to that West Ham or Leicester) play an out of form team he predicts the other team will win because that defies logic and if we are in form he predicts the other team will win because we cannot continue to remain in form. Surely asking an octopus to predict results would be far more sensible and less expensive. In a week when BBC3 goes off air to save money surely they could have found other ways of saving costs by getting rid of tw*ts like Lawrenson.
He's an absolute idiot. Seems to have it in for West Ham (and more so now I bet after they beat Liverpool in the Cup). Also, he hasn't predicted a Liverpool loss all season even though they are at best average. The bias would be so amusing if he wasn't such a tw*t.
Yes I just noticed that in the Lawro Premiership world, the top 5 teams are Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea (?), Liverpool (?) and WBA (???????). The least you should ask from a so called expert is that he watches Premiership football.
I was not too worried about tomorrow but the great Lawro has put us to win 2-0 against Leeds. Is it worth turning up now? Hoping he can get one right every so often.
He predicted us to beat West Ham earlier in the season but then he seems to dislike them and Leicester about as much as Watford. Does he actually look at the league table?
With Lawro predicting a win for us today it's a win for Leeds and the cup will have to wait for another year. It was nice while it lasted.....
