Bielsa would be manic but he and Gino would fall out after the first meeting. There is no way Hughes is managing us either.

People on the BBC site seem to think we are a joke and should settle for 1 win in 11 just because we are somehow 10tb.

Not looking at that bigger picture.

Er, we sacked the last two managers who both managed to get us up to 7th at some point in both seasons, it's more to do with where you're going to end up at the end of the season.

If there’s one thing this sort of event teaches you, it is to not read “below the line”. Or, indeed, to listen to pundits. Bad for the blood pressure.

The bloke is a snake. Brought it on himself. Everton can go **** themselves and all.

  11. The issue is that it is not, in FA or PL terms, legal for them to do so, and it is also very unlikely that Silva's contract allowed him to talk to then, through any channel.

No one blames Everton for wanting a decent manager, if decent he is, but they should act within the rules of the game.

If they broke the rules and caused damage to Watford FC, then they did wrong; not by their desire to improve themselves, but by their perfidious treatment of a fellow member of the PL and FA, whom they would expect to observe rules and etiquette when dealing the other way round.

Yes. I understand you seeing it from their point of view, but excusing them for rule and even law breaking is, in my opinion, going a bit too far.

1 win in 11 maybe good enough for ****** Portuguese football, not good enough for us.

Miles Jacobson, apologies if incorrect spelling, was very articulate on TS half an hour ago.
hornetboy1 mentioned Simon Jordan;despite the tendency to mangle words 'dehabilitation' when I think he meant 'rehabilitate' or 'debilitate'and suchlike,I find him quite fair minded and interesting. Huge ego but quite interesting all the same.

Explains a few things, like why silva had Deeney , Gray and Okaka on the pitch yesterday, he must have know it was a must win game -to little to late. Also I guess it shows the owners resolve, yes they will get grief for sacking a manager they could have sold but that’s life.

If I was Gino I wouldn’t have sacked him , I would have relegated him to the reserve team manager and made him play out his contract.

Talksport incredulous , but a Watford fan gave them a dose of reality as did Luther.

I now think we have a reasonable chance of stayin up + might explain why we haven't made any signings, wait for the new coach to assess the situation.

I know it’s doing my head in. It’s actually quite concerning that there are so many morons in the world.

“You’re 10th what do you want top 4, tinpot club”

Do people seriously not have the mental capacity to consider more than one factor in a situation like this? Do they not realise the season doesn’t end now? We’d all to a man chew an arm off for tenth place now, but there is no way in hell we would have finished the league in 10th place.

The small mindedness kills me as well, if you support a small club you should be grateful for what you’ve got and just put up with bad results, is this how people run their own lives?

The stupidity of other supporters is staggering when they say “you are 10th where do you expect to be?”.

The fact that we are 10th just goes to show how poor the rest of be League truely are. We have been absolutely appalling since November and they still haven’t caught up with us. However, we are only 3 points from relegation and to answer your question, under Silva we expect to be relegated because he sure as hell wasn’t going to turn this mess around.

There are 2 sides to any story of course. MS may argue that he got as a good a job offer as he was likely to get after us and wanted to move. Current results are due to injuries and lack of promised investment in Jan despite those injuries. Its clear the relationship was broken and couldn't continue as the atmosphere at the club would be poison and relegation very likely which benefits neither party. It was just a case of who blinked first, sack him or he resigns saving us the exit pay. MS wouldn't blink so Gino had to. I'm sure the very public "p****d off look" at the end of every match was designed to help push Gino to that end. A move to Soton is very possible.

  26. The Pozzos expect good head coaches to want to move on. Just like they expect them to adhere to their contracts, which usually seem to have a break clause at the end of each season. Until now, none of our head coaches have been sacked, except possibly Billy McKinley (who, it was reported, was fully paid up and appologised to without having to ask). All of them either resigned or left on an agreed contractual clause.

Silva has broken that run, and I doubt very much he will be paid up without a fight, and certainly won't be appologised to.

Loyalty was sticking with QSF and Walter until the end of the season. Silva chose not to do that.

If they broke the rules that is fair enough and we should take action (if we are not already). I am not familiar with the rules. Rules aside keeping an employee who is unhappy is always bad practice, but I can also see the other

I am not really familiar with the rules, but agree if Everton have broken the rules we should taken action. Silva has shot himself and us in the foot by not rejecting Everton’s advances immediately. That said keeping someone at the club, against his will (whether it is right that he wants out or not), was doomed from the start. I have no idea whether Silva knuckled down or not, although the gutless performances against Stoke, Swansea and Huddersfield in particular suggest that he had lost focused or the players saw that he wanted away and their commitment tailed off. Probably both.

Interesting to see how we would mould the squad to play this consistently eg a plethora of wing-backs, is Richarlison in the 4 or the 2 with Deeney ?

We are a laughing stock now, so it's time for us to adopt a siege mentality. The amount of ignorance social media creates is amazing.
