We have 8 points. Yes, 7 of our starting 11 are terrible. That's why we are bottom. I disagree with him about Sarr, I think he was rangey and gave Leicester some worries, but he's far from a finished product and not really what we need in our situation right now, but that's not his fault.
**** of u **** how are u sat that about are Deeney his a hero he bullied your centre backs all game and was everywhere and he was leading the team his our only hope!
I agree with this. I think next season in the Championship is going to be extremely hard. Football is littered with clubs that have gone into free fall once they get relegated from the Prem. I really hope it’s not the case for us, but I have a bad feeling about that right now.
No point buying anyone new to be honest. We need probably 10 wins from 23 games, or something like 7 wins and 9 draws. As good as down now so may as well prepare for the Champ.
It's not so simple though. If they sign a bunch of Championship players for next season then they'll get slated. They have no choice but to take risks, as 4/5 of this squad are unsuited, or unwilling to play in the Championship. As you say, they have to break the habit of a lifetime, which they won't
I just think there are other problems. Those players aren’t going to set the world alight, but they got 50 points last season. They couldn’t have achieved that if they were as completely bad as stated. I’m not saying we don’t have some crap players - But 7/11 seems a bit overstated to me.
Today I cannot think of more than 4 of them who weren't utterly disgusting. Sarr, Capoue, Masina (despite Penalty) and possibly Cathcart. The rest were despicable. Can you, in all honesty?
Femenia awful never won a header sleeping leaving Barnes unmarked again and again, you think ok he offers something going forward, yes he did he offered space behind him for Leicester to attack. Doucoure May as well of stayed on the bus Capoue either was under instructions to go backwards hardly ever got his head up and looked to go forward. Foster kept us in it only cos they were poor in final third tonight Ok ref was **** but we deserved nothing Leicester never had to get out of second gear definitely not playing like a team fighting for survival, every game counts they played like this game never mattered they know Hayden will get replaced and that they were expected to get done. Hayden should of dropped the useless ****s for the kids that have done a good job for him. Would of been a good wake up call for our so called first 11. At least they may of put a shift in. Sarr only positive tonight but we failed to use him to exploit his pace against an aging Fuchs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’d happily take relegation if it means getting away from shambolic referees and VAR that has destroyed our once enjoyable sport. Plus half these c**ts might f**k off and we may see some remenents of the old Watford return. Such a players who care. Youth players. I can hand on heart say our premier league experience has been the least I have ever enjoyed in my Watford supporting life. People say “look how far we come” “wow we’re signing strikers for £18.5m” but I loved the club more in the days when we had Neil Cox at the back. The days where it meant something to watch your local team and not get this “best league in the world” nonsense rammed down your throat 7 days a week.
Also my point was (whilst made too subtly), if we are actually that bad, then tonight’s result was actually a great effort. - Leicester are second - we have 7/11 players that are terrible. At best championship / possible league 1. - they got a soft pen
Nice of him. Surest sign yet he’s coming back and is thrashing things out with Gino right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I genuinely think that Leicester were quite poor tonight. Not sure whether they would have stepped it up if needed, but I think a barely competent side would have given them more to think about. I think it's a shame that we're now aspiring only as high as we've fallen, to be a ******, bottom side who restrict sides to winning by only 2 goals. If that's the culmination of 5 years of premier league football and riches, then you can keep it.
I love this... we are in heady days of excitement <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
We'll battle, put a shift in... won't score and won't win. 3-0 Palarse with a Zaha hat trick. We go to Liverpool after that..... I cannot wait.
I’m not saying that’s what we aspire too. I don’t think I’m getting my point across at all as I’m not trying to suggest all is well! We are bad. But I think saying 7/11 of our squad are absolutely terrible (and that didn’t include Delf or Foster, so really it should be 9/11) is a tad overstated.
It will be interesting to hear how many people loose their season tickets next season because of missing more than two games this one!
Anyone remember in 2003 when we beat premier league west brom 1-0 in the fa cup 4th round with a Helguson goal in front of the rookery. That was proper. What an atmosphere. Arguably one of my favourite games at the vic.
That quote could have been lifted from the Southampton game where Grey played the ball in, or indeed almost any other game this season. How far he has fallen.
I swore the Burnley game would be the last I go to this season. Travelling down from the Midlands so see us getting beat is something I can't bare to do anymore. If me not going means they'll take my Season ticket then so be it. I suspect however that the waiting list has all but evaporated
Leicester didnt look anything special on the night but fully deserved the win. Once they went ahead we never looked like getting back into it. Speaking of which that was never a pen., VAR really has become a farce and I say that as someone who before the season was in favor of it. Choudhury looks like a pimp from a bad 70's cop show. For the most part I thought we defended relatively well but we look so light weight and drained of any confidence or belief in the final third. Its actually hard to believe that this is the same group of players that reached an fa cup final and came within a handful of games of finishing 7th and european qualification last season. We started against Brighton on the opening day lacking both fitness & preparation with a mentality that we just had to turn up to win, and its been downhill ever since. The sheer lack of effort or even pride in the first 20 minutes against Man City just confirmed what appears inevitable now. The amazon commentator said with some conviction near the end of the match that 'watford are about to do something they have never done in the top flight... win 7 games in a row'. So perhaps he knows something we dont. The only Silva lining is that our friend marco will hopefully get the tin tack after their demolition by Liverpool.
I absolutely loved that Cup run. Away days at Macc and Sunderland and a raucous quarter final v Burnley before the semi at Villa Park. All on a shoestring.
Hahahahahah you are talking out your backside mate. Danny Welbeck has never scored more than NINE Premier League goals in a single season hahahahah. His last four seasons: 0 1 5 2 HE HASN'T EVEN SCORED DOUBLE FIGURES IN HIS LAST FOUR SEASONS COMBINED LET ALONE ONE HAHA!!!
Yeah but he played for Arsenal so at least 75% of the people that go to our home games used to support him properly.
