Big earner? Maybe he wants to go as Sunderland have shown absolutely no ambition this summer? Who knows? Their fans seem gutted so that tells you something. Cathcart, Britos, Prodl, Kabasele, Kaboul and Hoban is a very decent and experienced set of centre backs.
My Sunderland friend told me that they love Kaboul, but are in debt due to spending too much £ on average players.

Same here. It seems he was yet another decent player to fall foul of the Tottenham curse that turns good players sh1te. Like Capoue and Gomes he proved he his a quality player when he left for someone else.
Ok well it seems the weight of evidence is against me. Whenever I've seen him he has been awful and reports admittedly 6m or longer ago were poor but if the Sunderland fans are genuinely that gutted....are you sure they're not hiding the bunting and balloons under their desks until the ink is dry ??
Ps I also moaned about our signing of McClelland after watching him live when he put in an embarrassingly awful game for rangers at Aberdeen. Turned out to be the best centre half we've ever had.
We need another top-flight class, experienced CB. Kabul's looked very good in every game I've seen him in since the New Year, including at City on Saturday when they were unlucky to lose. Gomes & Capoue love him. Sunderland fans love him. Affordable & he wants to come here. What's not to like?
Don't confused bad ball playing ability for bad defending. I can see why someone who watches MOTD would think he's not good because he does look awfully uncomfortable with the ball at his feet but if you look at the defending alone he's great, good tackling, great in the air, aerial threat defending and attacking corners, deceptively quick, strong and been in a relegation battle or two. Vocal in the back line as well. Great asset. Only drawback for me is that he's not HG and that probably means bye-bye Vydra unless Paredes, Arlauskis & Suarez get moved on. Wrap this up for £4-5 million and announce Perereya and I will be thoroughly delighted.

With Suarez going that only really leaves Iggy & Nyom for the boo boys. Once Iggy starts scoring again that's him ruled out too. Poor old Nyom
