there is something to the spurs ruins players thing, I don't think its through the playing side but I wonder if it's something to do with expectation and attitude of club and fans and the way it transmits to players
I don't think they give players a chance. It's almost as if the fans decide very quickly if a player is good enough or not and the coach becomes too afraid to play them again.
tbf most Spurs fans rate him , thought he was worth keeping to try and recapture his early success he had in his first 18 months with them . A steal at 5.5 m
Can't he also play CB? Won't get excited until its official but for that sort of money this would be a great deal. Hopefully we get Gued or Inler and I'd be happy with our options in midfield (excluding wingers if we use that formation)
Hopefully today is the day. Price ranging between 5.5-6.5 million is excellent business. Capoue, Gueds and Abdi could be special.
Throw in Sarabia too. He has 12 months left on his contract and would be a steal at a few million euros to team up with QSF again
Sam Cunningham has confirmed he was at our training ground yesterday. Imagine a midfield of Capoue, Inler and Abdi.
I am so bloody excited!!!! Some these transfer rumours coming through, TV fixture announced at 1pm, its bloody Friday and its 21 degrees and sunny!!!
Daily Mail says we want Capoue and Stambouli in a £10m double deal. Can't see it myself, sounds like Capoue is pretty much done and Stambouli is a similar player isn't he?
Confirmed by lowerrous on Twitter. Good enough for me, time to change the thread title to 'Confirmed' please mods.
I think Stambouli is more versatile & can play further up the pitch. Box to box. I'd deffo take them both if offered. We're gonna need lots of good players, the more the better.
He sounds like the player Chalobah could have become in a parallel universe where he doesn't sign his life away to Chelsea.
You missed a step! 1) Agree transfer fee 2) Announce that the two players have officially signed 3) Somehow convince them both to sign a contract with us
Flores has played with a double pivot before so having both gives us options. And lets face it, they're both also very good players who could be worth a boat load if they find their feet with us. 5 million each is pretty reasonable.
SSN Investigative section was all about Watford. Capoue - fee agreed - personal terms almost complete Strambouli - fee agreed - bit further away on personal terms Holebas - due iminently Harry Kewell - U21 boss possibly
