Strange how this rumour has come about not read anything anywhere else. Not even football rumours! I know we wanted him before but i agree with the Palarse fans i'd like to see Commons come to us. Think he's one for the future where-as Jobi hasn't really done much in the Championship this season so why next season for us?
An awful lot of Palarse fans don't rate him, like here it could be some little @@@@ having a laugh and creating a thread. refreshing to see a football post with 11 pages of posts though as opposed to the lack of response football threads get on here as opposed to the non football ones.
I think that's also due to the fact that they actually do care if he stays or goes - and the ones that are supposedly happy he's leaving - well sour grapes any one?

Mind you, they do seem to be under the misguided belief that we got £30 million for our position in the premiership rather than the actual £500,000. Alot of people seem to be thinking that money came in this year and not next year.

I think they refer to the 30 mio quoted as the net worth of gaining promotion a year ago. Cash from TV, increase in ticket sales, better sponsor deals etc. That was quoted as 30 mio. As we spent very little on players they must think most of it is left.
Allan Nielsen...absolute legend! Would have loved to have seen Neisen and Johno play in the centre! What a midfield that would have been! People seem to forget that McAnuff tore us apart 2 seasons ago in the league games!! The only player to make Doyley look poor in that season! I'd have him over Noddy any day!!
To be honest on regards to Doyley looking poor. Huckerby, Smith, Eddie Lewis, Cook all had the better of Doyley most of the time. But I would love McAnuff to join, but its a year 2 late i'm afraid. Plus there are rumours of Bouazza leaving now :doom:

football threads dont get alot of posts, but their view count is usually still very high, which i think reflects that fact.

lets use all the many many mahon threads as an example one person will say mahon just stands about pointing when he is not running about aimlessly and losing the ball with his many stray passes the next person will say mahon was one of our best performers in the promotion season, was our best performer in the first half of the season, makes lots of unappreciated defensive work and is an asset. the next person will either then repeat point 1 or 2 the next peron will then repeat poin 1 or 2 then the thread all but stops.

How anyone can say Lewis and Smith gave Doyley the run around 2 seasons ago is beyond me! Did Smith even touch the ball at Pride Park? Huckerby beat Doyley once...that's because he slipped at the crucial moment! Couldn't tell you how fat boy C**k got on against Doyley...I was too pished during that game! It's never too late to sign a player like McAnuff! He's still young and improving...a much better player than Noddy!
Have to say mate that whenever Doyley came up against pace and skill he struggled. Hence he was always going to struggle at full back this season.; Though it's a rare event in the Chumpionship it did happen from time to time and Lloyd was shown up. Huckery at Carrow Road is a prime example - he had Doyley in his pocket all match. Even Smith was on the rampage at Pride Park!

If that's the price - 500k - those people on the Palace board will be kicking themselves. It seems too low. I would expect it to be the initial instalment with addons if 500k is the actual amount.
