Good signing if true, but they want Jarvis or Commons as replacements - players i'd be just as happy with (in fact i'd like to be greedy and sign one of them to go with Jobi)

Watch them be just as happy if he stays...probably see Jobi how we saw Ash (great player but frustrating on occasions) and they will miss him more than they think they will imo (if he does leave to join another team)
I think it's due to the fact that he's only got a year left on his contract. They get decent money and lose a player one season before the end of his contract. Also they say he's been disinterested this season - well FFS - he should have been playing PrL with us ;o) No wonder he showed little interest.

How often do you hear of deals being officially confirmed by the clubs at nearly 9 at night? Maybe somewhere like BBC or Sky Sports would confirm later tonight if true, but we won't hear anything from the club (should of been more clear that that's what I meant).

Doesn't it seem to weird that we consider £2 million to be nothing? I remember under Lewington when we bought Chambers for £120 k, it was considered a lot of money. It shows how much the club has developed since then.
I'm a bit underwhelmed - but a decent championship player. If we get him ok, if we don't there's other fish. Have to say though - Smith is a better player right now.

Quality signing if true. With Rinaldi snapped up and McAnuff allegedly on his way, it gets the ball rolling very nicely. Hopefully we can sign a quality striker like Harewood or Earnshaw and add a decent centre-back and keeper. i'd take signing a back-up left back to Stewart and a back-up right back for Doyley.
agree with the_ivam didnt he turn us down in our prem pre season so seems strange he'll come now. For people worried about palace fans not being upset about it gillingham fans were laughing at us when we signed hendo for a 6-figure fee and he got us 15 goals in the championship, also theres a possibility mcanuff if he improved could make it in the prem, him and bouazza could terrorise people on wings, or could this be a hint hameur is off
JM - No better than what we have got - even debatable if he is that good. Aidy focked up when he missed Carlos Edwards. As for Rinaldi if that is the height of our expectations then we can forget bouncing back. He is OK but we need to be aiming for better. Sorry.
Just a little mate Haha. Anyway... I would agree that we missed out big time when we failed to sign Edwards. McAnuff is good but I would like to think we could do a bit better, although I would still be fairly happy to see him come in. As for Rinaldi - he's shown that he has the potential to be a good player for us, it's just whether he can do it consistently that we need to find out now.
We really need another winger and McAnuff is only 25, so it seems like a reasonable signing. However, am I the only one thinking £2M is a bit much? This would make him our most expensive signing ever (depending on how much the Shittu fee _actually_ rose to) and with all the Bosman players out there during the summer it just seems like a lot of money.
