Emil Forsberg is playing well currently Frederick Sorensen Anthony Modeste is on fire with 13 goals in 16 games this season
Why don't they just get of with it. Sell Ighalo, pay a decent size signing on fee to get Ashley back home, get Gabbiadini in to play up from with Troy (one Deeney/Dini chant can do for both) and get that former Italian international centre half (Ronniatini or something) and start getting back up the table. What's the problem?
Lesta & Sunderland are the new Watford (latest rumours are it's Lesta on loan) http://sportwitness.co.uk/defender-heading-premier-league-leicester-city-sunderland-pole/
The guy looks like an absolute unit. A lovehild between Success & ****tu. I wouldn't have thought the Pozzos would want to offload anyone too promising to any clubs fighting around the relegation zone.
Sky have posted a free transfer XI - www.skysports.com/football/news/110...artin-caceres-frank-lampard-and-raul-meireles Martin Caceres stands out from that list, only 29 and from what I can remember from seeing him play is a very useful defender, can play at full-back and centre-back too. Might be worth a shout on a deal until the end of the season.
That teaches me for not keeping up with the squad list . Would be a decent signing for whoever picks him up I think, but seeing as we have no more space it won't be us!
Happy with how that turned out, would of been nice if we pulled off the Begovic deal from under Muffs noses or Krul ended up here.
I'm thinking he would of been adaquate back up until the end of the season. Allowing 1 more outfield foreigner like dje dje in the squad. If we had pulled off the begovic deal I think he would of easily become our #1.
Could have been worse. Still can't believe jordon Rhodes and Bamford got sold for anymore then £2m. Makes Igalhos transfer seem like a steal compared to those 2.
: I'm not that impressed with the business we've done, to be honest. I don't think Cleverley or Zarate are the right fits for this Watford team and their pattern of play
Basically for roughly the same money.....we sold Ighalo for £20m plus £5m with odd-ons and signed Niang (£13.5m), Cleverley (£8m) and Zarate (£2.5m).........!! and still made £1m profit......:]]
This from Sky today... BREAKING NEWS Martin Caceres is flying to England from Italy today for talks with Premier League clubs. Southampton and Crystal Palace are interested in signing the Uruguay defender. He is a free agent after leaving Juventus last summer. Caceres passed an AC Milan medical last week but failed to agree personal terms.
Says it all. Early days but even without the megabucks for Iggy it would have been a great window for those 3 additions.
