What about if they rip us off like Burnley did re. Gray for a ridiculous fee - if they do that early Jan, they'll have the whole window to reinvest the cash and improve their own team?

 

I really can't see Watford doing anything other than a loan with a view to buy later. We have so much to sort out in the transfer market, that money will be tight.

10 - Islam Slimani has now had a hand in 10 goals (6 goals, 4 assists) in his 15 Premier League starts for Leicester. Option.

 

I'm surprised they've not used him more. Seems to be a decent player, certainly better than anything we've currently got on our books.

But Leicester hold all the cards. They'll want over £20m for him I'm sure, and I doubt will settle for a loan deal.

 

Is he a prolific goalscorer or a Premier League failure ?

Pozzo's don't spend big on older players as they have no re-sale value - we won't spend £20m on him and I can't see Leicester loaning him to a prem club - I can't see this one happening

Silva says I need someone in this position, he is given a list, he says who he prefers of that list, that's then likely to be Pozzo's number one target.

There is just no way in hell anyone can blame Silva for anything transfer related.

 

I doubt whether Silva will be too worried about that. He’s doing us a favour by being here in the first place.

 

Reading through the thread on the Leicester forum they all seem to rate him but state that he just isn’t suited to their system. They say he will score goals wherever he goes and would be a great signing for us, one of them even states that Andre Gray is rubbish and would be a massive improvement.

 

Yep unusual for a groups of fans to be generally so positive about a player (can you imagine someone coming on here to look up Deeney or Gray )

I have a horrible feeling we won’t be signing a striker this window - too many teams after forwards and pushing prices up. Think we will rely on the then 4 we have getting us over the line.

absoloutly , with gray and success counting as 1/2 each - although if we were measuring in terms of premier league top goals scorers they would probably only be 1/10
