Anyone know why forestieri wasn't playing today?

 

The support that Forestieri has on here never ceases to amaze me.

Yes, the recruitment team sold him and signed some poor replacements (Diamanti, Ibarbo etc.) but is Forestieri really the sort of player that will a) help to establish us in the PL and b) take us to the next level? No he isn't, and that's not just on the basis of his performance in the playoff final today.

This season he's shown 2 things, and that is that he's a solid championship player and that he performs better on the pitch when used as a big fish in a small pond. He was never a starter for us since the day he joined so why would that change now?

He's not good enough for where we're trying to get to.
