This is the TV version of "The End of the Line"? If so it's harrowing viewing.
Been watching "Catastrophe" on Amazon Prime.
Surprisingly well written and very relatable; it has very good male and female voices, and is highly amusing at times.
Achingly good writing & performances. Has Carrie Fisher turned up yet?
Oh yes. That was a surprise!
The theme's composer (it's only a 60 sec piece) is continually deluged with requests to expand it...
She's one of the few Hollywood 'stars' who's universally adored by the Elstree Studio's film crew. I was told that she wasn't actually acting in 'Catastrophe' - that's was she was like 'off-set'.
Just caught up on the latest series of “Unforgotten”. Love this series - well written and superbly acted by all involved. However,
the ending has left me bereft
Each series has been very good. But,
I thought the last series became a bit soapy
Not to keen on the current format of "The Walking Dead" they seem to be concentrating on highlighting individual characters and their early years, which I'm not enjoying so much.
Having said that, I didn't mind the Negan episode last night.
The whole thing jumped the shark several seasons back. First couple were riveting.
That became unwatchable for me a long while back, around the time the bloke with the tiger popped up enough was more than enough for men.
I love a zombie film but The Walking Dead is getting pretty tedious now. I hope they come up with an ending soon
Only discovered Curb your enthusiasm about 2 months ago. Watched a couple of episodes, got into it and at one point had 91 episodes on the planner. Mrs TuT couldn’t stand him so been getting through an episode or two a night since then. Just watched series 10 ep10 and planner went back to series 3 ep1. What ? Flipped through and no series 11 on the planner. Lots of duplicates of earlier series. Just googled and found out, THERE IS NO SERIES 11. No big ending at series 10. But no series 11. What ? Why? How did this happen ? The other 40 or so episodes are all building up to what I’ve already seen. Crestfallen.
EDIT UPDATE. Just seen a series 11 had been commissioned and will be shown later this year. Phew. Forget all the crap above.
Preetay, preetay, preetay good news!
But how can you have missed it for so long? It’s genius.
(Mrs Keighley can’t stand it either).
No idea how I missed it. Think it was only this thread that flagged it as not to be missed. There is so much crap on that it’s not always possible to spot the gems. For every Curb, there are a dozen “Fresh off the Boat”s.
As you say preetay preetay good.
There's one final story arc to do - in the 'book' form this was the point that it finally crawled up its own arse and the writers quickly 'mercied' the comics. I can only assume that these 'vignettes' that have formed the end of series 10(?) were shot under covid restrictions?
Yeah, pretty sure that's the reason. They're essentially non-episodes that are just holding the place in the schedule. The final season is due out in August apparently.
You might just be right, as that could explain a lot, I must admit I had not thought of that.
I'm assuming that FTWD new 'series' (S06E08) was shot under similar conditions but appeared much 'better'.
Curb is incredible, I do tend to find (in the main) woman absolutely hate it though, not sure why.
Mrs Moose is a fan, though she enjoys it far more if it’s one with Suzi losing her rag.
So most episodes then?
Yes. I really don’t know what it is about a woman going mental at her useless husband she finds so amusing.
Line of Duty: The best TV series EVER, with last night's episode the best hour of TV crime drama EVER. And there's still two episodes to go....
I feel slightly dirty writing this but we're into the 3rd series of 'Highlander' and we're really enjoying them especially watching Adrian "No male pattern baldness" Paul's changing 'hairdo'.
Just completed The Clone Wars.
Really really loved it. Some of the story arcs were epic and creates and completes a lot of back stories.
So great and a really making me want to watch prequels 2 and 3 again when I never usually would bother.
On to Rebels now.
Re zombie films, have you seen Train to Busan? Great stuff!
I really recommend these 'prequels' - the 2nd 'film' is particularly good:
I have and their is second one now, released 2020, called Peninsula
And the marvellous "Kingdom"?
I've seen that too. It's mental!
Mother of God...
I reckon Arnott is dodgy - he once played footy with Tommy Hunter...
Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!!
