I only got around to watching Sunday's episode last night. Wow the last 20 minutes of that was incredible viewing.

Point of order there are 3 episodes to go because they announced at the beginning of the series that it would be in 7 parts.

I felt it was a bit of a weak end for Cassie. Killed by a random hit and run driver? So a complete coincidence and nothing to do with anything. Would have been better if it wa case related. One of the bent coppers silencing her. It felt quite deflating and unsatisfactory and meant all the other background drama about her life was pointless.

Anyone watching "Wellington Paranormal" on Sky Comedy? Off beat but highly amusing in my opinion.

agreed became very tedious , don’t understand 2 things

why didn’t Rick hit Negan with his baseball bat when he was given it, he always goes on about being prepared to die , should have twatted him and taken over.

why don’t they just take a ******* great big boat , sale it out to sea and live on it, when they need to come back to land just wear a suit of armour

Following this week's Line Of Duty episode, with 2 episodes remaining...

    Do you think...

Assuming they shot at each other...

    (a) Both Fleming & Pilkington are dead?
    (b) Just Fleming dead?
    (c) Just Pilkington dead?
    (d) Neither dead?

I think (c) is unlikely and (d) not at all likely as someone must die here; (a) seems most likely with Davidson having to pick up the pieces.

The other possibility is that in order to protect the OCG, Pilkington shot Davidson and Fleming shot Pilkington.

    Another thing
I don't like that Carmichael character, she immediately pulled all surveillance AC-12 had on Davidson and Pilkington, plus prevented Arnott from finishing his conversation with Fleming. Obviously could be a curveball.

They actually addressed that on the spinoff show; the short of it is the sea and islands are no safer than anywhere else (zombie corpses washing up on shore), and introduce the additional enormous problem of finding supplies.

Stopped watching years ago though, it got well past its sell-by date.

This is why zombies are a bit **** to be frank. They can do anything it seems short of breaking into a run.

Didn't your parents read "The Tortoise and the Hare" to you? It's cautionary tale about zombie outbreaks! ;)

So I seem to be the only person in the country who has never watched Line of Duty. Should I?

I don't watch it, though Mrs Keighley does.

I have also never been to Nando's.

Maybe these things go together - I too have not been to Nando’s, nor have I watched the Star Wars films other than the very first one when I was very little. I also avoided Harry Potter originally but ended up reading and watching all of it with my kids (and enjoyed it tbf).

I did read the first HP but that was it.

    I love Star Wars though.

It’s very entertaining and has steadily improved, the first series was pretty dreadful and badly acted. Over the course of the series there’s a weird blend of really strong, engaging performances from Vicky McClure (she’s a main character throughout), Stephen Graham and Keeley Hawes.... then there’s some really wooden acting that kind of takes you out of the moment.
e.g Ryan Pilkington, I’m starting to wonder if he was initially intended to play such a key roll in the last two series because the lad that plays him is so unconvincing

    It’s like a British 24 basically.

On a similar note, what is with peoples’ obsession with Unforgotten at the minute? My partners been watching all of them, I half watched the series with Neil Morrissey and his lame middle aged pals. Dreary load of absolute crap.

I've seen genuine calls for him to be the next James Bond. I'd only like that to happen if the baddy was played by Danny DeVito.

Ahh you see this is where you and I will have to agree to disagree as I am a fan of Unforgotten - I like the understated “slow burner” nature of it. Also, I watched it from series 1 so became invested in the story arcs of the main police duo - don’t know if that makes a difference to coming in fresh at a later series

    Last night’s Line of Duty...

The Spanish SWAT team were so unconvincing I honestly expected at any moment one of them would say ‘Chris Waddle’

Perhaps ‘dreary load of absolute crap’ was a tad harsh :D

I don’t mind a slow burner at all (Better Call Saul is one of my all time favourites!) but I just find the cold case thing really low stakes personally. Lots of convenient ‘gaffer we’ve just heard from a bystander that remembers an obscure detail from 40 years ago’

I've watched a bit of line of duty and I think it's fine, I don't really get the hype. To me it seems to be the Ed Sheeran or yawnmongers of TV shows. Is that fair?

Edit - I've never written Cold - play on here before and just noticed it gets autocorrected ha!
