But does he know a Chablis from a Malbec?

Well, many think Foster is now a better keeper than Gomes, so I think Gracia should pick Foster. I know it's not the best comparison, as Pantilimon is clearly worse than both and had far less match day experience with us, but he was at fault for the early goal we conceded in the 2016 semi, and this insecurity spread through the team, contributing to our defeat. Assuming we don't get Millwall (Brighton are certainly capable of doing us at a neutral venue), I wouldn't want to go out of this competition knowing that we didn't field as strong a team as we could have to give us the best chance of getting to the final.

But then Gracia has got far more decisions right than wrong and it's paid rich dividends, so if he think Gomes looks better in training and is more suited to whoever we face, whom am I to argue with him? Should definitely at least put Foster on the bench though, like you said.

It is. That's how i found out in the first place :)

So our Played 6 won 1 record is matched by Fulham. If we lose this time we become the least successful club of those that have appeared in 5 or more semi finals.

Foster has to play for the Semis. We tried being sentimental last time with Pantilimon and it didn't wok

+ Foster's distribution is far better than Gomes' and those small margins can be the difference

On another note, absolutely gutted that City cheated their way through yesterday. Genuinely think we could have won the whole thing otherwise

Gomes's kicking was suspect yesterday and he didn't come for a couple of crosses which foster would have. Foster also would have held that hollywood save gomes made in the second half.

I love gomes deeply but I sincerely hope he never plays for us again.

Swansea do have themselves to blame as well though. Presumably they knew the rules before even the end of last season that they wouldn't have VAR if they got relegated, and it was well and truly in their hands to stay up but they blew it.

But then the draw may have panned out differently and they wouldn't have got this far, I don't know whether or not the division you are in affects that when you enter the competition in the same round.

I hear both of those are on Gino’s list of centre back options.

Gomie has to be part of the Wembley experience.

A potentially workable compromise would be for Gomie to don a second Harry the Hornet costume.

He has the athleticism for the role & may add a little samba counterpoint to Gareth’s more robotic style.

I don't know. I only travelled to 2021 and Parliament were still in discussions.

If we get Millwall no matter how unlikely that is, we’ll be blaming @reids for any potential loss.....

If Brighton are playing for a replay someone tell the manager there isn't one. :D

Spot on. We suffered a couple of times yesterday as Gomes’ long throws just don’t have the same impact.

    Been a bit fortunate ?

Foul on Murray maybe and Brighton could have had a pen 1st half ..

Lack of VAR costing a team here as well, Brighton should have had a penalty and the Millwall goal should have been ruled out.

    1-0!

It’s up to Cassetti to get Reids bevvied up.

Let’s all have a look at the Millwall master plan.

loads of empty seats behind the goal, disgusting millwall have not given them to brighton. What sort of tin pot club does that?

    Millwall v City
Wolves v Watford in the semis

    Millwall Wolves final.

2 nil to Millwall now, no doubt about this one but Brighton have been shocking.

Ah well, bigger shocks have happened than this so I should have expected something like this might happen - look what Millwall did to us two seasons ago when they were still a League 1 side...

Brighton 95th minute equaliser. Massive blunder by the Millwall keeper.

You do not sing your going to Wembley after only 80 mins played and only 2 nil up. Just deserves.

Can't believe that we were a **** hair from being in an FA cup semi final with Wolves, Swansea and Millwall!

That has got to be one of the worst blunders in football history. Seconds away from a Wembley semi final and the keeper palms wayward freekick into his own net. That's even worse than the Pickford howler against Liverpool.

Really terrible. I was starting to believe that we could have got millwall in the SF.
100% certain BHA will win from here.
    Millwall are emotionally spent.

Well he still could be the hero in a penalty shoot out - doesn't have to worry about catching the ball in that.

If the keeper had left the ball it would have gone out of play as had been said not the best time to make that error

Ferguson sent off for Millwall. Dreadful challenge.

Brighton then score a good goal and it's incorrectly ruled out for offside. Another wrong decision of many.
