I'm going for a 2-2 draw. I think we will be 1-0 down, 2-1 up, then let it slip in the 77th minute. Tom Ince will score. Because he is a horrible little Hunt.
My prediction is also 2-2. Angella gets up for a corner, spins round and flicks the ball into the back of the net ala Forest away last year. Hughes then takes the faintest of touches and goes down for a penalty ala Wes "Uboat" Hoolahan. The "Iwontplay4englandever" then makes it 2-1 with a scuffed shot, wicked deflection, Gomes rooted type goal. Before Deeney races away and literally brute forces his way through the defence and slots home the equaliser for 2-2. Of course FF misses a sitter for the winner. I think that's a pretty believable turn of events based on the previous 2 seasons. May not even go now. Sorry to spoil it for you all.
Ipro i/Pride park not a good hunting ground for us , I think a rejuvenated derby side will beat us 3-1 . My father will hold onto the family footy bragging rights again
Pretty excited to watch the next two games from the comfort of my home - going home for Easter and my dad has ensured me he's persuaded my mum to get sky for the time I'm down to watch the games. My birthday is the 2nd but we're celebrating it the next day with a take-away and the game, so I expect Troy and lads to deliver the perfect gift, exactly as they did two years ago at Hull.
Slav shielded the boys from the fallout from the Ipswich game and they owe him a performance. As nervous as we may have the right to be, Derby's nerves will almost certainly be far, far worse. An early goal to stifle the crowd and generate fear would be lovely.
I think it's going to be closer than people imagine, long to say a Watford win, but to be honest the way we turn up to games playing the top 8, how we play is anyone's guess...of course, there is also the unpredictability of the ref to worry about!
Going to be optimistic and go for a 3-2 win to Watford, both sides are going to go for it, so think there will be plenty of goals.
Totally agree, an early goal would be great. Agree with Wolfy, very nervous about the next couple of games, wish Friday would arrive quicker, they're so important, two of Watford's most important games this season, if not in our history!
I'm working on the premise that every now and again we surprise people with a big performance and win..all our strikers drew a blank last time out and we've had two weeks to stew over our defeat. We ll bounce back with a big result against an out of form side whose manager may just be distracted by the Newcastle speculation.
We'll be thumped and it'll rock our boat to such an extent we will fall to 7th in the league before we play Wednesday. We will win that game 3-0 which will be enough for us to creep into the play-offs. We will then play Norwich to whom we will lose 4-1 in the first leg and see a dull 1-1 draw in the second.
Done me own research and I share this for my hornet brethren: the Crown & Cushion on London Rd near the station is away support friendly. Nothing like having a conversation with yourself
I seriously don't understand the trepidation our fans have. They're in WOEFUL form and we have better players. We must expect to win this.
The trepidation we have is because despite their "woeful" form, most of the players that were injured that have contributed significantly (not entirely however) to this woeful form are back for our game with them. Couple that with the fact that we can't really seem to win against a top 8 side (except Brentford twice) and it's no wonder why we are a little bit fearful about what Derby can do.
Also, their home form is actually alright - a blip in their last two but won four on the trot prior to that. Our away form is pretty great too, but against lesser sides, it has to be said.
plenty of media speculation surrounding mcclaren to newcastle - hopefully this will keep derby unsettled a bit for friday.
Those players even if back, are severely lacking in match practice and fitness. I also think this 'no wins against top 8' is simply a statistical fluke. As most of our fans have pointed out, we have had some serious bad luck in a few of those games.
And we have also put in some dreadful performances as well as getting the tactics absolutely wrong in a good few of them. A week or so ago - we were going to nail Ipswich to the rafters. What happened? I don't see how people can logically go into the match thinking we will win it...
To be fair it's just been Ipswich and maybe Wolves at home. I thought we were competitive against Norwich at home, unlocked again by a poor refereeing decision but there have been a few top 8 games where I thought we deserved more. I'm not getting lost on this statistical wave that we can't perform against top 8 teams. Regardless there are a number of games left after which are as equally important. If we can manage 4 or more points from the next 2 games I would be delighted, taking just 2 would be not the end of world to our promotion hopes and anything less than we are going to have to fight really hard just to stay in the Playoffs with the remainder of games left.
Does anybody need a ticket for this. I bought one but now can't go. Face value. Can post as I live between Maidenhead and Bracknell.
First poll I can remember seeing in which we don't fancy a Watford win. To be fair I don't think many fancied us to beat Fulham, Cardiff or Brentford (all away) to be honest.
