Would love to know what the officers defence is... if I did that I'd expect to be sacked, and banged up

Seems like he will be out in only 6 weeks.. Roughly around the 5th game of the season. Obviously match fitness will be way off and won't have met or played with a fair few players. The stance of the club is still a mystery. Perhaps waiting to see who they can sign before taken a business decision..
Other thing worth thinking about is if he is on tag or not, he lives in brum for a start so if he is on curfew would have to be in his house there.

His missus twitter. 3 months out of 10 sounds about right maybe a little bit shorter than normal, I'm guessing he may be on curfew for a few weeks after, only guessing though no legal expert.

It's been a rough old year for Troy what with this and his dad. He seems genuinely remorseful and I hope the whole experience means he comes back stronger and better as a player and a person.

Lets chalk this one up to experience and move on. I wish him luck here or elsewhere as needs must.

Good post - just keep off his back you "i never did anything wrong" types - everyone deserves a second chance

Does anyone have any Idea what time he will be let out? I cant imagine he will do the full 10 months.

All sentences are immediately halved so originally Deeney would have served five months max. This can be reduced by a further half for good behaviour. So all in all Deeney could serve a minimum of two and a half months.

If we are willing to have Graham Stack on trial given his past and repeated offending it looks like Deeney will be given another chance and rightly so.

Not necessarily a problem as Court can stipulate his residence at a specific address i.e. in Watford and that he has to report to the Watford cop shop at set times.

I don't want to start another argument but I just have to say that NOT everyone deserves a second chance (for instance child molesters) but I do agree Deeney is not in that category so he does deserve a second chance. Of course, the jury is out on whether he meets Zola's standards as a footballer.

I think he'll do well in Zola's system given a chance as it relies on a high work rate which is one of Troy's strong points. Looking at his form at the end of the last season he showed he does have the ability to be a number one striker in this division with 9 goals in 17 starts and he's still only 23 to boot.
