Muani is an easy improvement on our current crap that was being looked at by Leipzig and co. It's more that I don't see how on gods earth we would afford him.

 

A commentator on a Reading match last week mentioned that they are at risk of serious FFP problems if they don't go up this season. First I've heard of it but, if true, it's possibly a promotion or bust season for them too.

Just to add, someone messaged me with those names, that he had heard from someone at the club, shortly before Louorns posted that tweet.

Both interesting ones, in my opinion. Foreign (rather than the usual boring domestic deadline day names), both with fairly high values on Transfermarkt and playing regularly for their current sides. Muani has some really good sides after him, plays for France U21 but obviously not a large number of goals. Ademi is fairly old (29), Zagreb's captain too.

In terms of Mr Muani, even if he doesn't score a lot of goals, it's perfectly possible that he could be streets/worlds/universes ahead of our current crop purely by being able to make intelligent runs to draw defenders and hold up and/or pass the ball in such a manner that brings other attacking players into play in dangerous positions/provides scoring opportunities for them. Gray's disgracefully non-existent goalscoring ability isn't even his only/more than 50% of his problem as a player, let's not forget.

Very, very easy to believe this if we take his performance in the virtual forum as a marker - we should really have been more concerned at just how out of touch he so clearly was with fan sentiment and the message the club had been sending out.
