What is the point in all that wasted energy, cost and time ? Why bother if you're going to offer to buy at 50% of market price with payment over x years ? We could just operate a clearing house for the last 3 hours for players that want to leave and clubs that want to sell them, who are so crap that no-one else wants them they might be cheap enough for us. How many other clubs do you think our top recruitment team have had to beat off to land a loan for a player like Livermore ??

Harry Arter is apparently on his way to Cardiff for a medical prior to a loan move, although 'another club' may be interested. Could be us given we seem to be looking for loans and a midfielder.

 

Of course but it seems that we have been stretching out our offers even more than usual, even employing the "2 year loan" idea for Alpaca.

We've done 2 year loans before. And structured deals sometimes benefit selling clubs too. Particularly the likes of Barcelona who I expect like to spread their income out so as to avoid tripping over UEFA's FFP regime.
