It's not bizarre attitude, its having a realistic Outlook in our current circumstances. It would be a decent signing, but I think we have bigger needs in other areas I think. Yes he did well at Sheff Utd but so did Yeates overall. How do many fans feel about him? Get frustrated that he cannot beat his man, helping out defence etc. These same issues would exist with Cotterill. His has very flimsy confidence levels. Yes he is experienced but why has he been with so many clubs in such a short space of time? Swansea have had limited attacking options this season but not once did they turn to Cottterill despite being fit & short on numbers? Yes its Premiership level but he was in out on most occasions last season in the championship too. Let's wait and see if Leicester firm up their interest. It's one thing to have a trial, quite another to make it a permanent signing.
On your first point, we clearly need a winger more than any other position. With Forsyth and Yeates on the wings with very little cover I seriously don't see us getting enough points to stay up if this position wasn't strengthened.
That's a bit OTT. Cover should come from what we've got, I'll explain; (We will miss Kightly though). Cover for the wings will come from Deeney, Murray, Wichelow and possibly Bryan. If we can get a Kightly figure in, or someone like Tommy Smith, then great, because they are definately better than what we are aiming at. I think to start off, Dyche was right to boost the squad by signing players who whilst perhaps not journeymen, are experienced, have prooved themselves somewhat at a similar level and can come in and do a job. Mirfin and Iwelumo haven't worked out great, but the alternative option of putting all youngsters into the squad was likely to fail this season. However we are at a point where if we buy too many players (like Cotterill, Beattie, Mirfin, Yeates, Buaben) we are seriously reducing the opportunity of a younger player to get a crack at it - and these lads are the guys who we could sell for £5m in 18-24 months if they turn out like Marvin.
Having been covering the Leicester v Barnsley game from the press box today, and going to the press conference after, I asked Nigel Pearson about this. He said that Cotterill has been training with them since Tuesday this week and he is not ruling out a permanent contract for him.
Apparently Pearson is going back to his old club Hull to take Cameron Stewart, a winger. We could do with Cotterill and that Gregg Wylde this month!
 I honestly really don't see the point in clamping down on just one type of innane humour. It alienates a select few I'd say, and those few might annoy some people on here, but thy entertain many too. I guess if Admin falls into the former category there's not a lot that can be done, but it's just a shame I think. The forum will go on and everything, but in my opinion the only reason this forum has had staying power is because of the in-jokes, the stupidity and the willingness to not take things too seriously. Posting this on the thread that is about the ban on the type of humour I'm referring to as well, and I apologise for contributing to this thread with only off-topic content.
