Hate to sound ungrateful and it was a wonderful day last week but what is the point of beating Liverpool and then not even showing up today? Absolutely pointless. Just takes the shine off one of my greatest days as a Watford supporter.

I know you can't beat everyone but we didn't even look close to scoring today. So frustrating, when we really need a win to get some breathing space we bottle it. Poor, too many players didn't turn up.

Silly niggly fouls showing a lack of footballing intelligence. Absolutely dreadful set pieces. Poor, really, really poor.

    Back to usual for us!

    Palace do love a 1-0.

Spent more time worrying about Zaha than trying to score or create a chance.

    Hopeless.
We need to beat teams like Palace if we have sny chance of Premier league survival.
Piss poor especially after the Liverpool result.

Palace S'housery was a perfect way of stopping us building up any rhythm.

lack of movement up top and I think the midfield creatively were off today too.

    Ref wasn't great either.

******* dreadful. We go behind: we lose. Simple as.

Palace were rubbish but we spent the whole game giving away stupid fouls and ******* about. Chance to pick up points missed.

So annoying, Tranmere, Everton & Villa did it to us in consecutive games yet apart from Arsenal I can't remember us recovering points in any other games.

Not a good sign for a team who will need strong mentalities in a relegation battle, we don't seem to have the cojones as Troy would say.

Did we just participate in a rugby match?

That was the worst match I have seen in years. Palace just went all out to completely spoil the game, they were not interested in playing football at all. Every single touch they looked for the foul and the ref fell for it. He completely lost control of the game allowing them to sulk and moan the clock down for petty incidents.

It’s difficult to play against a team sat so deep we couldn’t get hold of the ball in the final 3rd. Incredibly frustrating to watch.

Last week was amazing, but it was the exception to the rule, a fluke. Today is the crap we've been watching all season and it's why we are going down.

No creativity, no composure, no plan B. Useless. Just end this horrendous season.

Thanks so much to the real Watford FC for showing up today and reminding us that last week was a blip. Normal service resumed. We are going down without so much as a whimper from this gutless ensemble of powder puff wastrels.

Hope this squad is gutted and completely assembled from scratch next season, because there are very few faces I would be sorry to see the back of out there today.

Perhaps if we tried shooting and not trying to walk the ball in we might have got something from that.

Set pieces were awful, general play was awful and we never looked like scoring.

Not much else can be said other than the fact that we was absolutely useless. Pereyra really showing how that 1 good game in 10 can give fans a false sense of confidence in him and then he turns up the following week putting in a performance even Mapps would cringe at.

Once again, we’re lucky other results have ‘gone our way’ but if we leave it to the final game of the season to decide who stays up and goes down, there’s only one winner and it ain’t us.

Our new stadium should be called ‘Stadium de Bottle Jobs Bipolar Results Watfordy’. Has a nice ring to it, and coincides with what we’re good at

Whatever happened to our midfielders of last season. They were dynamic, got into spaces and made forward runs.

You look at capoue and Doucoure today and neither wants to take responsibility. Drive at the opposition, make a bloody play. Hughes tried several times, yes it didn’t come off but at least he gave it a go. The other two just played 5 yard passes and looked to go backwards.

We fell into palaces gameplan perfectly. Let them get one nil ahead and then stick 10 men behind the ball. Two very similar teams, and one horrible game of football.

What the hell was that? Absolute crap that's what that is. Where was Watford of seven days ago? That was pathetic. We never laid a finger on them despite having marginally the better 1st half and playing nice football. Deeney looked very lathargic today, not on his game.

Peyera has just about done all he can do to ensure he is binned now. Useless, no effort, no desire and more interested in smiling for the crowds. Their goal was well taken but the defending was comical. Three players on him, he still gets the shot off? Kiko was below par and Cathcart nowhere. They should of won by more but Foster again saves us.

Could not play any worse after a great win of last werk than we did today. Im so sick of the inconsistancy of this side. We have not changed at all, still a cba attirude feom most players doing as little as possible.

I hope we go down after that, none of those even remotely played for the shirt today. Doucs and Capoue more intersted in fouling than playing. I left on 75 mins, could notforce it through to the end. Waste of money, waste of an afternoon. At least try?

Oh and Selhurst Park is a dump. Leicester next? No chance.

Dragged down to the mediocrity of the Stripey Nigels instead of imposing our own game.

Did not press hard enough and one win seems to make some players think they are world beaters. Capoue complacent at times. Deeney not at the races and out of puff and Pereyra needs a massive rocket. Lazy beyond belief. No one taking responsibility to drive the play. Far too much lateral and backwards play and sitting off and a complete lack of momentum.

They are a terrible team in a very poor division this season not to mention a bunch of petulant divers. Whining and rolling around at every opportunity but we did not rise above it. And failed to get Sarr involved enough. Lumped balls constantly instead in the air onto Cahills head. That said a draw was a fair result but some woeful defending gifted the goal.

A simply unacceptable performance compared to last week and bangs go some confidence and a chance to build a little gap on our relegation contenders. Pearson far too slow to make changes ie haul Pereyra off. I think we would be better served with Welbeck on the left, Deeney upfront and Sarr on the right. The lack of pace, the unwillingness to take the ball forward from Pereyra was abysmal. Yes he has no pace but the latter component is not good enough. For all of Deulofeu's faults he at least tries to make things happen in a positive fashion and turn defences. With Pereyra in his deliberate slump because he is far more capable than that opposition defences can be quite satisfied having only one flank to defend and not get turned.

We’re screwed without the threat on each wing now Gerry is out. I thought we might just get away with it if Bobby turned up... but no, absolutely ******* anonymous. If we have Gerry and Sarr we’re a match for anyone, lose one and we’re royaly buggered.

Re Pearson being slow to make subs, I was initially frustrated by this, but then look at the utter dogshit that he’s got to work with! Pusseto is an absolute joke of a signing, utterly pointless waste of money.

  22. Next week is the easier game. Our players are too powder puff to play against teams like Palace and Burnley; against proper street smart and physical sides Deeney is shown up as a fraud.

I thought Pussetto showed more in those 20 minutes than Perreyra did in the previous 70.

I'd rather see Pussetto start, at least he wants to be here.

Agreed. Don't think he did any worse than Pereyra, and as you say he at least looked interested. Also pacier than Pereyra.

I mean, he's ****, but he might be slightly less **** if he's given more than 15 minutes in a game we have already been pathetic in.

Palace simply did not give us (and Sarr) the acres of space to run in behind them as Liverpool did, which made it much more difficult to break them down. We can just hope that they put in a similarly hard-fought performance when they play Muff next week.

Palace didn't really trouble us other than the laziness for the goal.

The biggest problem is if we go behind we don't have any quality options off the bench to change things and get back in the game - Pussetto and Welbeck are both pretty useless and we all know that Gray is useless except on the very rare occasion when pops up with a goal.

One other thing - our set-pieces are absolutely shocking. I think we went through three corner takers today and they were all rubbish.

Wasn’t it under Gracia we used to at least have training ground routines practiced for corners that occasionally came off? Anything has to be better than what we’re doing at the moment. It’s amazing how hard players complain for a corner to go their way when on our case we’d be better off taking our chances from a goal kick.

Twice running the ball out for a throw-in? And then making a wild, late lunging tackle which earned him a yellow (and prob was't far off a red)? And?...

He runs around a lot, but it doesn't actually get him anywhere or lead to anything.

We lack ideas once going behind and more interested in getting involved in the petty stuff rather than looking to score .

On the basis of what ? Thirty minutes ? He did more defensively and offensively in terms of trying to get things going than Pereyra did. Pereyra's mind is obviously somewhere else because we all know a motivated Bobby can create chances and score them but he offered absolutely nothing today aside from waving away responsibility. He does not even celebrate with much fervour last week.

You might want to put in an application to be a Watford scout then. Just remembering the absolute slating Doucoure received when he first started out for us.

Poor performance from two unimpressive teams, the game was settled by one very good strike that we should have closed down a lot quicker anyway. We made poor decision almost every time we got in the final third Palace didn't allow Ismaila Sarr any pace what so ever and we had no idea how to break them down. Players were understandably getting frustrated as Crystal Palace are a team with no shame throwing themselves to the floor at every opportunity and then moaning at the referee. I though Zaha could have easily been giving a second yellow firstly for diving and then for the hand in Capoues face.

**** result tbh. Need experienced players to man-up on days like these. Can't rely on Sarr every week. Need Leicester to beat Villa, to make it an okayish weekend. Any team that puts together 3 or 4 wins will be safe from those at the bottom imo. Need to win our home games now.
