Can we all just agree that the result of the Premier League season against Liverpool, for us, and perhaps for the whole league will mean ABSOLUTELY nothing if we dont beat palace?
Well, it says a lot about how poor Sunderland are these days if their own supporters have picked up on it. That nickname was invented by the Newcastle fans years ago. They're not wrong, though, are they?
They beat a poor Brighton side who we could only draw against, but as Saturday showed, anyone can beat anyone in this league. Would take a draw
Don’t let the Brighton result fool you. Palace were extremely poor. Brighton should have been 3/4-0 by HT.
Brighton are playing like we did under QSF, not conceding many (save Man City and his last two matches) but have absolutely no idea how to score.
Think we pretty much were once under Dyche of all people! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/16994800 Also remember a 0-0 on the opening day of the season under Boothroyd in 20o8.. Only time seen us win was that play off game. Had a real mixed bag of results there..
Their forum is a joke, some of their comments are just embarrassing. Grown men writing paragraphs about "Captain Thug" and co, you just have to laugh really.
For fans of a club who profess there is no rivalry with ourselves some of their fans have a real hatred towards Watford as a club, players and fans. Their players are hardly a gifted bunch, Zaha aside, they play negative boring football and Selhurst Park is a complete and utter ********
Don't feel so special. Palace fans don't like anyone, including themselves. Palace are like Millwall without the charm. I haven't forgotten that sickening foul by van Aanholt on Pereyra. They can give it but not take it.
Deeney does influence media and general perception marking us as a strong physical side who bully people. Whilst moaning about Deeney they complain abbot a lack of real threat strike wise although Ayew has done well for them. Who else is that tough and physical in our team ? Maybe Capoue on a good day is strong and puts a foot in and Doucoure who I'd say is more about power than bashing people around. I mean Hughes,Kiko, Cathcart , Pereyra, Kabasele aren't exactly brutes!
Wellbeck would take Tyson Fury 13 rounds. Pussetto eats live swans for breakfast. Masina has yet to switch the central heating on this winter. Mariappa makes onions cry. Pererya plays with a knife stuffed down a shinpad Holebas has a gun stuffed down his shinpad Hughes has already had coronavirus.. twice. The italian Mafia don't dare viait the Pozzos
And Dawson is especially unkind to little old ladies, making them sit in The Comfy Chair with nothing but a cup of milky coffee,at 11am, to sustain them. Beast.
Well he is a typical Watford thug signing apparently... Shame we haven't seen any of it as he's often been left treading water chasing someone who has sped past him.
Tricky game. All I'm looking for here is a good team performance showing the required fight. Even if we end up coming away with nothing. This game will tell us a lot about how much we really have in us, to get out of this relegation mess once & for all.
Deeney said the other day, the fantastic win will be worthless if we end up going down, we have to follow that with another solid performance.
It does look like Palace have set themselves out to be hard to beat. Even with Zaha being way below par with goals and assists their tighter defence means they could well have their best season for a while. Maybe not relying so heavily on him has helped them as a team. Everything points to a 1-0 either way type effort as, despite the Liverpool game, I think we’ll find it tough to score on Saturday. Of course I hope I’m as wildly inaccurate as my 3-0 prediction at the weekend. No one bought into my claim I didn’t mean to Liverpool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
