NASA document from 1979 openly discussing observing UFOs in order to learn about their propulsion systems. Very interesting, the science is beyond me but I do know about geometric shapes in nature etc.

I have downloaded the document from NASA myself so it is legit.

The guy in the video is a scientist so knows his stuff.

Video should start at 16:27 https://www.youtube.com/live/w6tKXCTQHy8?feature=share&t=987

The sad thing is not really knowing for certain (alien life must exist , but the question is has it been here) , I have no trust in the secret elements of government so you end up in a cyclic argument , where you assume they are lying but actually might be telling the truth.

People have been talking about disclosure for years ,both Obama and Trump was supposed to be the president that brought it out into the open but it does definitely seem to be ramping up at the moment and guess it’s a process that will take time. Luis Elizondo seems to be a big player at the moment but have to say there seems something off about him to me

I think the devil's in the detail. The eminent domain clause is grabbing a lot of attention but I'd say from a more legalistic perspective it's saying "if it exists, it belongs to the US government", not "it exists and it belongs to the US government". There's a subtle difference.

Plus none of it really adds up. If the US government and NASA are in the loop on the existence of non-human intelligence, why are they also off spending what comparatively little budget they have these days scraping around for signs of bacteria on the moon and elsewhere? Doesn't exactly seem very joined up. The US House speaker was asked about it yesterday and essentially said he doesn't know if there's alien life but he's sure if the US government's Department of Defense knew there was it would have come looking for money decades ago. That's a truism right there.

I actually think this disclosure process is happening exactly because no one leading it believes there's anything to really find, rather than the opposite.

Guess we'll wait and see though.

Obama knows something and spoke about it with Corden, basically said there are things they cant account for, the vids on youtube.

Elizondo and Grusch do seem off but they could be ordinary guys trying to do the right thing that arent media trained etc, I cant imagine what it must be like to be them if they are telling the truth.

As I said though the "disclosure plan" is in motion now. Could be all BS but something is going on, of that there is no doubt.

They have talked about credible evidence from key personnel with the highest clearances, either they are telling the truth or the US has a serious problem within its national security.

Talk of dark programs ran by aerospace companies that wouldnt have congressional oversight being funded through the defence budget. Trillions of dollars not accounted for apparently.

I dont see them going through this process knowing it will fail as it will make them look a laughing stock given the stigma on the subject.

Like you say we will have to wait and see.

Suppose it depends how you define a fail in this context. I don’t see it would be a failure if what it shows is that decades ago people in power had genuine fears about this stuff in the context of a Cold War where that bright unexplained object zooming across the sky towards your country could just as well be a sneak ICBM attack or the Russians’ amazing new spy plane. Better to blame mysterious forces from another world than possibly have to admit there’s a hole in your national defence plans. Plus we now know more about natural phenomena on earth and in space than we did even 20-30 years ago. There’s lots of plausible reasons for sightings and investigations.

And for what it’s worth Trump was vaguely into declassifying this stuff and I can’t imagine for a second if there was something juicy or an amazing revelation to be had he wouldn’t have announced it and claimed the credit. That alone makes me think there’s nothing much in this.

    Fun times though,.

I’m going to Pembrokeshire at the end of August. Will I have to cancel?

Just going to repeat: WILL I HAVE TO CANCEL?

    Thanks.

Without wanting to pour cold water on anything discussed in this excellent thread, has any conspiracy theory ever been proved correct?

I find it interesting that UFO sightings haven't improved as technology races ahead and especially now that everyone has a camera on hand. It's also telling that the design of UFOs that are spotted aligns with the current tech.

    Otherwise, what UEA said!

The 1979 NASA document I linked to earlier in the thread shows they were aware of the UFOs so much that they wanted to study them, it also shows plans for a craft that looks a lot like the classic UFO shape. In the document they also speak about studying plants, animals and humans that have come into contact with these UFOs, not a huge leap to connect it to stories of abductions.

Just looking forward to the hearing on the 26th for more clarification on what they are claiming is happening. Far too much rumour and obvious and not so obvious disinfo out there.

The possibility they are human made craft is there definitely.

Saw something on Monday night - the last night of my holiday in Greece - that, for a moment, made me think that maybe there was something in those UFO sightings. It was the most extraordinary sight. After googling, however, we realised that what we had seen travelling across the sky was, in fact, the SpaceX satellite train. (It would be a fantastic thing to spot with a littlun on Christmas Eve as it could easily pass for Father Christmas and his sleigh)

That was made when introductions to TV programs were worth watching, just outstanding. Thunderbirds was just as good an intro.

Would love to see that but the glow from Watford FCs grass growing lights kills the sky at night.

They're quite easily googled. What's the point of any of them lying.

I expect Boeing are just trying to keep their "5000 space craft contract" with the little green men, a secret.

They don't have to be lying though.

Eye witnesses are notoriously fallible. There's lots of studies into it. Add in an extremely stressful situation and a lack of specific expertise - even if they're expert fire fighters they probably don't know building engineering principles for example - and I'd expect all sorts of things to be said by people who honestly believe them but which are still completely unreliable.

You make a valid point that I totally agree with.
I would like your take, for instance on what hit the pentagon? And why the refuse to release the video of the impact.
I'm not spoiling for an argument I'm just interested in other people's opinions. I like a healthy discussion.

There is security footage of the plane hitting The Pentagon and there are photographs of plane parts in the debris, which can be found by doing a simple Google search.
