And the B side to that 12" was:

    The Lucozade advert.

There have been some good tunes since the 80's. Just fewer and further between. The 60's and 70's spoiled us somewhat.

I think the new romantic era threw a curveball that you either loved or hated and the dance era of the 90's was more about being there.

And to follow Iron Maiden, a little something to relax to:
(I enjoy many genre’s depending on the situation. Just preparing myself as this will be particularly soothing to my mood if we fail to beat Sheffield Utd).

Hey I like it. I’ll try it.
But if this or Sheep may safely graze both don’t work, I may move on to the clean throat slit.

Lovely. Mrs Keighley and I had this at our wedding.

OK, on New Order, this is their finest moment (odd video, though).

Back in the days of vinyl the only album I ever absolutely had to have as soon as it came off the presses was Dark Side of the Moon. From HMV in Oxford Street if I remember correctly

The lyrics on many of the tracks are perhaps even more poignant and observationally brilliant now than they were at the time.

The best pure rock band in the world, with arguably the best vocalist and the best guitarist (Mark Tremonti, regularly voted in the top 5 by multiple magazines etc.) alive today:

Myles Kennedy also provides the vocals for Slash's band.
