    Music is so many things.

It can be your life, or a noise.

It can be your story or completely mundane.

It can be the soul of a party or a needless distraction.

It can be all of the above, somewhere in between and at every end of the psycho/socio spectrum.

Please feel free to put your tunes on here and discuss/rebuke/enforce your views on others.

If not, I'll use it as my playlist of stuff that I like!

Banging indeed. I also liked Hellraiser and Ballroom Blitz - incidentally Sweet were the first band I saw live, aged 10, with my mum, at Hemel Pavilion :D

    From Out of the Blue.

First album my dad copied on to cassette for me.

    Concerto for a rainy day...

    Liquid DnB at its finest.

    "Liquid DnB"?

    Good grief!

Back in my day there were just four genres: punk, disco, metal and new romantic!

In mine there was rock, pop, and dance.

Sometimes a tune comes along and earworms me.

DnB is my classical. Tunes with no words are easier to work to.

    I guess it's very subjective.

I do know what DnB is but wasn't aware that there were sub-genres. Or is 'liquid' your personal evaluation, like Partridge's "liquid football"?

'Tis hard to keep up with the yoof of today.

The Sparks and Sweet choonz above are brilliant highlights from the 1973-4 glam era.
Same era but Bachman and Moog's favourite song.

I work in music and even I know Drum and Bass is just noise, no offence to the OP! Has always sounded like someone throwing a cat into a dustbin to me.

Yeah, I get that it's not to everyone's taste.

Give the one I posted a chance though.

It's got some acoustic riffs that are quite melodic and is relatively unobtrusive for the genre.

The biggest disappointment of my day is typically when I hear, what I think is the intro to this absolute corker, but it's always the pallid and bland imitation - Jean Genie by Bowie.
