Thought Gray did ok, won a few balls and held the ball up in his cameo, first touch seemed better too, far better than his recent performances.

Really impressed again with Sarr's defensive work again tonight, the number of times he got back and nipped in to steal the ball and turn over possession really helped relieve pressure and start counter attacks.

I can’t tell others how to think, and I would never dream of doing so, but there have already been more criticisms than praise on many of the comments since the final whistle. Fair enough. Everything wasn’t rosey tonight. BUT we’ve just won our 4th match in a row. Scored 3 away for the first time in thirteen months. In just 18 days we’ve come from a terrible 0-0 at Coventry that had even me feeling fed up, to 12 points out of 12 and 12 goals scored. We ain’t going to romp to victory every game in this tough old league. Tiredness will affect performances too, with the games coming thick and fast. Winning is all that counts. And that’s exactly what we are doing right now. If we can’t enjoy that, and the excitement of being right in the thick of a promotion battle, I don’t know what we can enjoy.

I'm asking how you can ask what the hell has happened to him - it's been so prolonged and so dissected here it would be most of our specialist subjects on Mastermind at this point.

  7. 3 points was all that mattered

The pitch was a leveller tonight, we would have gone in 3 or 4 up at half time on a carpet like the Vic

    Pedro superb again

    Not a night to criticise

Gray was easily the best of our subs tonight, held the ball up ok, won a couple of free kicks, corners, closed players down and was the one that reacted to clear the ball when Bachmann saved. Zinckernagel is a wet lettuce and Wilmot was attempting Capoue-esque passes to the right wing that were getting picked off, then got beaten on set pieces.

I thought Gosling was good, dunno why he was taken off (though I have to say I thought Zinckernagel was better today, even at the nitty gritty stuff which doesn't seem to be his natural game). JP has played a lot of football of late, and we all want to see him start against Bournemouth, so I'm not surprised he came off, and Gray did a job when he came on. Wilmot was on paper a sensible decision, especially as Sema has looked tired recently, although it almost backfired spectacularly

Wow that kept going from cruising to scary

three good goals ,we have gone from only scoring penalties to scoring almost at will.

some unfortunate mistakes there (Hughes 1st goal) but don’t really think it was their fault the pitch was terrible and the weather atrocious , you could see the ball bobbling and slowing as it traveled along the ground.

wondered why we were playing the long ball so much at the beginning but it was the right strategy as our only real weakness at the moment seems to be playing on **** pitches , we have so many skilful players if the ball doesn’t run true the little turns and one twos don’t come off.

4 straight wins , good battling , muff will be interesting on Saturday , they really need a win to keep up chances of play offs , we really need a win to keep alive chances of automatic

Well cannot say Watford don't play boring football anymore. Great game for the neutral and we deserved to win overall but that is the shakiest we have been since the 4 3 3 came in to play. Credit to Rovers, they were facing a joint club record fifth loss and they battled right to the end to grab a point. Pedro's opening goal... just WOW. GotS contender it has to be. I thought we started a bit off the pace and gave Rovers a lot of the ball but they rarely threatened. Once we went in front we looked in control, and what a brilliant team goal for the second. The build up from back to front was Graham Taylor esque. It was that good. and solid finish from Sarr. Our defending however for their first was a bit like Pearson towards the end. Awful category of errors that left us looking with egg on the face all around. We took our foot off the pedal on a rough pitch and horrid conditions but looked OK at half time overall.

SH was a great start again. Sema put's us back in control with a third goal and again we look comfortble for a spell. Then panic mode and we let in the second towards the end to make us all bite our nails down to the skin. I love Troost but no way can he continue to be this poor. We need to find a settled back three - and Senaltra is a starter but who else is still very much for debate. Pitch was crap, weather was crap, game was pretty good considering it all and we were on the right side of a five goal scoreline for once. Our away form may end up defining how the season ends. having to go to Brentford and Norwich. It still needs work but I do feel we are a much better team to watch at the moment. Ref was a bit of a moron. Good win overall and hard fought, with what could possibly be a massive game at the weekend against Muff.

Great shoutbox too. Shout out to everyone who took part. We found out Moog likes two things more than ever in his life. Let's just leave that there for now. Well done lads. a bit off it tonight at the back but we deserved it.

I’m not surprised the “original” series had some of the darkest / funniest moments of any comedy show , the only thing that has ever come close to rivalling it is “it’s always sunny in Philadelphia”

The moment where Sarr counter attacked in the last 10 mins and had Gray running off of him and just went ‘nah’ and turned back inside was pretty funny.

Also, a small deal but so nice to see the body language in players and new leaders emerging without Deeney in the side.

One little example, Sarr messed up. Hand up in apology to Clevs, got one back. All good. No flailing arms or shouting at each other.

Hughes & Cleverley are really growing in leadership roles as well as being brilliant whilst playing.

I’m willing Zinc to be good every time he gets the ball. It’s easy to see there’s a very good player in there, plus tonight he actually outmuscled someone when tracking back and making a 50/50.

Just hoping his confidence isn’t taking a huge knock which can be hard to turnaround.

He got put CM (the more attacking one), did pretty well and then 15mins later got switched.

It’s hard to get into the game as it is as sub, even harder when playing two positions for 15mins each.

Hopefully he’s on board with this drip feed learning curve and will get a run of games when ready. Maybe it’ll be next season. Bit like Pedro from last season to this.

We looked absolutely knackered for the last ten mins, I still don’t understand the decision to send Quina out on loan.

I can confirm that the weather in Dorset has been quite pleasant recently so hopefully we can at least have a proper football match at the weekend.

That was a bit nostalgic. Crappy pitch. Moments of quality. Terrifying last 10 minuets. It brings back memories of Abdi et al a few years back. On we go

No team is going to be as easy to beat as Bristol City, I'm not expecting us to put in a perfect performance every game given the circumstances, all about the results now. Even so, we are generally playing well now, we're not fluking wins like we have at some points this season

Cathcart's sliced clearance in that game wouldn't even make the top 5 for major errors by our defenders in the last two games.

TE's error in that game, and Wilmot's in this one, directly led to goals.

Because he’s not very good, has a poor attitude, is one of the now ill thought of lockdown bandits and somebody actually wanted him.

He would have been a waste of space tonight in a game like that.
