Zinckernagel must not start any circumstances and must only come on out of position for the last 15 minutes when we are desperate to hold a lead, despite it making very little sense.
Decent side. I like Cathcart, but he is a good late sub to steady things. Let's hope we can get 4 in a row. Blackburn won't roll over, and I'm still not convinced with our away form.
Haha. I’m always gonna tweet stuff that’s wrong info wise. I’ll still share what I’ve been told regardless right or wrong. Was correct previous 3/4 game weeks so had no reason to doubt
Certainly hope that Sema isn't as shagged as against Derby, and frankly whether he is or not, the Zinck needs at least a half to actually start being given a chance of bedding in - Leventhal spoke in his Q and A of the idea of resting players in-game, and this is a good opportunity to do just that.
I'd rather Cathcart than TE, but can't complain too much - overall sensible decisions from Xisco who now seems to have the measure of the squad.
Once Carla, Elliot, the Janitor, Ted and JD left, it went downhil. A great programme though. I must get out more...
Such a nervy finish after controlling and looking good at 2-0. Elliot took his chance, now we need to get our heads on SH and try to get a third. As much as I think we have improved of late, defending a slender lead away from home will only lead to one outcome.
Terrible defending for their goal that started from gosling, then poor from masina, apart from that a really promising first half. Also, massive improvement going forward shows, 12 shots and 4 on target, I remember the Birmingham game where our only shot on target was the deeney pen.
Pathetic goal to concede at a bad time - we had about 4 chances to clear but tried to play our way out of defence on a crap pitch
Entertaining half. To think we spent most this season rotating Pedro and Gray like they were equals. It’s like going out in your Ferrari one day and your Robin Reliant the next. Love our energy and battle and then we have the quality to make it count. Blackburn look alright in fairness. Although can’t help but think their manager said “it’s like a rugby pitch out there, so let’s play rugby, smash into them and when you give away a foul pick up the ball and run away with it”. Poor defending for their goal, dodgy section of the pitch, ball needed clearing. But seeing how most the football has been good I’ll let them off (unless we don’t win).
The buildup to the sarr goal reminds me a bit of the goal against Fulham in the 5-0 last time we got promoted.
Quite happy to be sat next to the fire watching these conditions. Grizzly. Played very well, but shows that a brainfart will get punished.
Yet to score three on the road this season. Me thinks tonight would be a good time to finally buck that trend.
Each week I watch this team with the Sema Pedro Sarr front 3 I get more and more angry about how Ivic approached things. That 5-3-2 was criminal. We would have over 70 points now and p**sing the league if we'd played 4-3-3 all season
Rather wet in Lancashire but Pedro celebrates his fabulous finish: Sarr tucks in the second and all the team celebrate:
Great to get the points, JP is a complete striker in ability (as in he can do everything that is required of a modern centre forward) and we sacrificed half his season on the altar of an overweight cripple who bullied his teammates constantly. Masina was dreadful again in decision making, and WTE's distribution makes at least two potentially game ruining mistakes a game - get Cathcart or Wilmot back in alongside Sierralta. This game management is also more evidence of what a revelatory tactical genius Xisco has not suddenly miraculously become, but at least we got the points. It's never easy, is it.
