Making no excuses, and I know he is no saint, but with parents like his, some people might say what chance did he have of becoming a normal decent human being?

 

scholes is a scum canut - JT is the way forward - top bloke is JT - my brother was in a betting shop and JT walked in, my brother nodded at JT and JT nodded back - not many footballers would take the time out to do that..

JT deserves his medal - he helped get chelsea to the final - scholes the canut deseved a medal if he played in the team in thats seasons champions league or whatever - its all about the squad....

So what he shagged someones mrs -most geezers do....or would at least like to.

So his dad is a drugs dealer and mum a shoplifter - plenty of them around as well - i wonder how many people complaining about the shoplifting have never stolen anything or kept something that they know they shouldn't....

I don't mind Scholes at all. He has an ethical code and sticks to it. Whether you agree with him or not.

I think that's very unfair. Ever since he took the job, he only signed 1 year contracts, nothing more. Even though they have conceded the league title and been knocked out the champions league, they have played some fantastic stuff this season and putting things into perspective, the amount of trophies he has won against his total time there is really quite astonishing.

Plus, Barcelona are such a commercial club, I bet no one could manage them for more than 3 or 4 years nowdays. With the pressure from the Spanish media and the Spanish fans' notoriety at getting on the manager's back when things aren't going according to plan, I am not surprised he has left. Maybe he feels he's achieved all he can at Barcelona?

 

His words were that he's been mentally stretched and just wants time off, I think he'll end up back at Barcelona and won't ever manage anyone else, other than Spain perhaps.

Also, the whole "loses a few games and wants to leave" thing is a barrel of ****e

 

The amount of pressure that must go with that job, i'm not surprised. As Prentice has said, I reckon he'll be back there again at some point - just needs time out.

 

He's won everything he can with Barca (13 trophies in all) and has taken them as far as he could this season. As Prentice says he just needs time off from the pressure that comes with managing then. Bollox to loses a few and quits :dismay:

 

I hope Di Matteo wins both the Champions League and FA Cup seeing as it's probably a foregone conclusion that Guardiola's getting the Chelsea job now.

While that appears to be quite a rap sheet the biggest misdemeanors stated there are allegations .. and arent we supposed to be careful about stating those as fact?
The only things i can see that have real proof behind them are what his parents did & a knee in the back of a Barca player.. and i wonder if such a fuss would have been made of that if it wasnt him involved.. i doubt it.

John Terry might well be a scum bag.. but most people seem to be making their conclusions on gossip in newspapers & what they have read on Twitter.
That for me represents absolutely everything that is wrong with today's football (& society in general!)

Yeah ok, sorry Steve. To clarify, the only person I was having a go at was John Terry, just because I literally cannot stand the man. I can be quite opinionated on some subjects and John Terry is one of them!
