Barcelona vs. Chelsea

I dislike Chelsea, mostly because of Terry and Lampard, but for the first time ever I think, I will be supporting them tonight as they take on the mighty Barcelona. I'm going for them partly because they're an English side, but also I want to see someone topple Barcelona in Europe. It's going to be a very tough game for Chelsea I think, but if they can somehow contain Messi then they may have a chance. Make no mistake though, I think Barcelona are going to come flying out the gates. Could be a very good game.

The fact it's an English team doesn't matter to me, I hope they get stuffed.

 

Mixed feelings for me. I hate Chelsea (as above, mostly due to Terry), but as a football fan, it's hard not to get behind the underdog.

I do enjoy Gary Neville as the co-commentator.

Pique just got absolutely nailed by his own keeper, that looked brutal.

 

I was going to say I'm surprised he's carried on but he just went off!

What terry did was wrong, but why did he go down like a sack of spuds rolling around screaming in terror, when terry just shuffled up behind him and there was a knee to bum moment.

Terry knows that any chance the barca player will have to go down they'll roll around and the crowd will boo and influence. Naive from Terry.

 

I know football has been blessed with more than its fair share of morons over the years, but surely Terry is the most idiotic of the lot?

Did anyone notice the booing whenever ashley cole or ramires or drogba gets the ball? I can't work out if its racist or not. I doubt it though.

Ramirez has scored one of the goals of the season there to pull it back but I would fancy Deeney and Ilewomo to score against Chelsea's centre backs in the second half, let alone Barca.

 

Made me chuckle that the barca player who went down looked over and put his arm up to the linesman, then once he got his attention rolled around in pain.

 

To be fair, the way Barcelona have defended, i'd fancy Iwelumo or Deeney to score against them!!
