Where is all this 'youth' (British or foreign) that has broken through into our first team?

I thought the Pozzo's only sacked a manager when they had virtually agreed terms with the replacement, allowing for a swift transition? We used to laugh at other clubs for having no planned successor when a caretaker would stick around for weeks.

Is it? I think that’s a bit of a myth in recent years.

We seem to promote players who are too old far more than we promote youth.

It's going to be Mullins. Clearly no one wants the job and Mullins is the cheapest option, so that's that.

How long is it taking Everton to sack Silva? Its literally the only positive from this season so I'd like us to get it in the bag ASAP

Typical Watford to get us in such a mess that when it happens, we can’t really even laugh at them.

But if it's to give us any hope of staying up, we want him to stay in the hot seat for as long as it takes surely?

(Even though it seems Everton getting relegated is as likely as the sun never rising again...)

Good pick Markoa, I think this is as good a team as it's possible to put out at the moment. Masina needs to build up a run of games now, Kabs is the quickest CB we have, Quina deserves a chance and Doucs needs to sit it out for the time being. Up front you've got the players who could make a difference and cause the opposition a few problems!

I watched "Added Time" after the Leicester game last night and the bloke interviewing was more interested in cracking jokes with
Stack and Mullins than concentrating on the game. From what they did say, Mullins was 'pleased' with the response from the players
and 'enjoying working with them'. Positive maybe, but when you are as rubbish as we are, all you can do is laugh I guess.

Fat Sam is odds-on across the board now, however, so has Hughton, Hughes and Setien been.

If FS does get the job, I hope it's on the proviso that Mullins is his number two, to be mentored. I think Mullins needs an experienced hand to call on. It'll be too much to expect the U23 coach to come in and save the day. The risk would be too great and it could destroy his career before it even gets started, having a relegation against his name.

I think in football the players pick choose their manager on how they react. Take Manure. Under Maureen, they were woeful, could not win and
fell into a spiral of despair. As soon as Ole' turns up and becomes interm, guess what? 5-0 win away at (ok rubbish) Cardiff, followed by some of
the best form since the Ferguson era. More or less the same team as well. Nothing special about what Ole' did in such a short term can of possibly
turned a rancid team into world beaters again. The side could do it for Maureen, they just had enough of him.

This is how I look at us too. Was it really any better under QSF than Gracia? Had we kept him, do you feel we would have more points at this
stage? I do think the players motivation stinks this season and this "can't be arsed" laid back attitude is going to get us relegated. It doesn't matter
who comes in. It really doesn't unless the players WANT to play better.

He's coming home, he's coming home, Silva's coming home. Heard it here first.

    I enjoyed this paragraph from the BBC;

"Portuguese Silva, 42, is the fifth managerial dismissal in the Premier League this season, after the departures of Javi Gracia - who had replaced Silva at Vicarage Road - and Quique Sanchez Flores from Watford, as well as Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino and Arsenal's Unai Emery.".

There's only so much happy clappery I can muster. For the first time, possibly ever, I wasn't that bothered about last night. I have Amazon Prime but never once thought about putting the game on. I kept an eye on the score but that was it and when Vardy scored I just sort of raised my eyebrows as if to say "oh well".
On the plus side, I had root canal dental treatment this morning so my agonising toothache has gone
If, as it seems now, we go for BFS, I hope we give the number two role to Mullins as somebody else has mentioned. My issue with BFS though is that I heard him the other day saying how the first thing to do is get some draws, stop losing and go from there. I'm not sure we have the time for that and really liked the team selection from last night and feel that's the way forward.
    God I'm miserable about this

Superman could not dig us out of this mess. He would need a 200ft shovel to even get us up to 18th. It's not impossible, but surviving after the start we have
had plus the general fragile state of the players especially going forward only means the hole we have dug is getting deeper by the week.
