All Rookery foil display.

That's actually a good point...the Rookery might not be a sell out if people flock to the East Stan..er, Watford FC Community Stand.

 

It says on the 1881 site that there are equal numbers of yellow, red and black foils available for this display but doesn't say how many there are of each.

 

It's £1.44 per sheet of A3, 72p per sheet of A4

 

2500 yellow, 2500 red, 2500 black

 

Adjusted the template to fit in with the information provided by the ticket office. This one should fit in with the number of foils in each colour.

If Hollywood has yellow, red and black foils, could you show us what that looks like with black instead of grey?

 

Can do. I used grey to see the lines underneath.

 

Yeah. Also have a template for the 7 full blocks of the community stand but am not sure whether there's small blocks of seating at each end.

There's a lot of detail on that. You would need a full Rookery which never happens even well sold out, I'm late or in the bar most times!

 

Has to be the jumping men design.

Would probably look good with a red WFC in the middle.

When you put it like that PO, although most of the 1881 ideas are good, in this particular case it does seem like a bit of a waste of time effort & most of all money.

 

So we won't bother then ?

 

No offence meant hollywood, it's just a personal opinion, you can spend your money how you want, I just saw the costings you posted the other day and wondered if it was worth it.

 

Anything is worth a try if there's a chance of uniting the fans.

 

Obviously you may have a point, but could probably apply this principle to about 3/4 of the things most people do in life

 

Just a consideration, but if the new East Stand is open for the game, then there is a good chance the Rookery won't be full - would it maybe look better to go for solid blocks of colours rather than one of the patterns posted, just so that if there are empty seats then it wont affect the overall visual too much??

I personally think it'll be great, and hope the 1881 continue as they have and go from strength to strength - am hopeful of getting a fair few away days with you guys!

I would like to, but seeing as I dont get to all that many matches it is a lot of hassle for my family who sit in the rous and are pretty happy there - but I will try to get along with you lot this season

 

Just seen the Wobby page about the poppy foil display - is this the decision? Red poppy, black outline, yellow background would look great.

 

Now that's more like it guys, and I just hope there will be no mention of 1881 on the display!

I say this because I remember when the 1881 was being set up, that there was some debate about the fans movement, and that an us and them situation was not what the organisers wanted!

However, and all though I think the 1881 are doing a good job in trying to make the atmosphere at the club better, I feel that a certain amount of an us and them situation has indeed developed, which is something I and others had always feared forming a separate identity would do, be it only by a title. I always thought it should just have been a Watford fans "Vocal Area" that was established, with no separate name, because sadly I really think there is a certain amount of an us and them situation now at the club.

Having said all that, I do not wish to take away what the guys who have organised "The 1881" have established so far; I just think by giving the movement a name rather than just establishing a "Vocal Area" they have made the mistake of creating an "Us & Them" feeling amongst many Hornets fans, even though I know it is the last thing the organisers of "The 1881" wanted to happen!

So why the need for all the 1881 paraphernalia etc. it should all just be WFC surely?
