All Rookery foil display.

Alright guys. We are planning in doing an All Rookery display for the start of the season.

I've just started asking anyone to upload their design ideas and all will be put to a poll at the beginning of July.

Do you know how many seats the rookery is across and how many rows there are?

 

You are going to calculate how many pixels you can work with?? That's perfectionism for you. Clearly Carlos didn't take that into account when coming up with his shoddy designs :dismay:

 

I've just finished uni and don't have a job yet. Got quite a bit of time on my hands!

 

Judging by photos of the stand its row AA to row Q and 186 seats wide. Does that seem right?

 

I used to sit in row T (I think) so it goes higher than that. I think there's some rows 'missing' such as I and II though. Also AA and even BB might have been removed. To summarise, I've no idea.

 

To be fair, that's exactly how it must be done, if not done properly it'll look rubbish

 

The stand has 7 blocks of seats, 2 half blocks at each end and 5 full blocks in the middle. Therefore, I think the design that would fit best would be to write - 1 8 W F C 8 1 - across the crowd with one letter or number per section of the crowd with the 1's fitting nicely into the limited space of the half blocks at each end. If I can work out how to post the picture on the 1881 page then I'll upload the design.

Did it on excel and have the template. Can send it to you if you want. Might try and do one for the Community/ Happy Egg Stand as well.

 

Had to try one with the jumping men in there!

 

This is fantastic! If we have enought black and yellow I'd love this to be done.

 

The people that sat in the blocks with the jumping men could be given one yellow and one black foil and alternate them in unison to make them jump! Now that would be impressive!!

Is it possible to get double sided foil cards?

 

Unfortunately not. Although the japs seem to be able to get them.

Mine weren't for the foil display they're the new seating layout.

 

If I was to guess, I'd guess they just stick two different colored foils to each other. Seems the simplest way to do it.

 

Emailed the ticket office and they said that seats in the rookery are 1 - 180 and rows are AA to WW then A to X. Therefore the templates used for the designs are a bit wrong as I had 2 rows to many and there are only two seats at the top of each staircase instead of three (I think). But the designs would still work if you just take the top and bottom row out.

Got an accurate template now (fingers crossed) if anyone wants a copy.

AF91, how many (in total) for one show/side?

 

I have to say that would be class. Issue is tho, if, and it is an if, half of the east stand is open by 1st day the rookery might be a bit sparse For a full foil display
