    Bin in what sense?

This is a guess not anything i've heard, we've just seen it before so often under the Pozzo's - the fact he's barely got a minute in pre season, we struggle with non HG players as it is, and the fact he's just had a young child - think he'll be off.

Much rather bin the guy who doesn't play him rather than the guy who doesn't play.

  6. But he's been injured hasn't he? And played for 90 minutes yesterday against Wet Spam.

Fair enough. I think he's been pretty disappointing bar the stint at the start of last season. He never really recovered from his first injury and never performed for Gracia. I'd keep him as a squad player though and would rather Janmaat went ahead of him.

Can’t be bothered to do the maths myself but it’d be interesting to see the profit/loss on all the speculative signings we make. The money made from Richie/Cucho will allow for about 12 Oulare’s

Well, that's our squad if we don't bring anyone in before the end of the window. The potential first XI we can put out is pretty strong, but wouldn't want to be relying on too many back up players for too long (like the last couple of seasons).

If we do sign someone, Kaboul must be in the firing line having not featured at all, but guessing Cleverley will be named even if he's out for the first two months. If a striker comes in, I presume we'll hawk Okaka around Europe until someone takes him off our hands.

I agree of those most likely to not make the cut it's Kaboul and then Okaka, Britos, Success and finally Gomes (in the unlikely event of a late Rico deal - more likely to be January if ever). I think two CB's may not make it to allow for another defensive midfielder. You are most likely correct about Cleverley, but it will leave us short. Yesterday's diamond formation seemed about a plan b for centre midfield.

The continuing rumours about a wide player don't suggest that Success has yet done enough.

Surely we can't ditch 2 CBs? With the players' injury records we'd be running a huge risk going with the below 5. Unless Navarro is deemed effective cover I suppose.

Sweetly reminiscent of those idiosyncratic, ill cast translations which announced our first fumbling intentions towards such as Battochio, Ekstrand &, I'll say, Vydra.

And to get a new one in. Sorry, I wasn't suggesting just leaving places vacant.

Could be, those two CDs out, one CD in and one CM in.

Striker for alleged striker, Success for someone successful. A possibility of four new faces, but getting more unlikely as time goes by.

Apologies misunderstood. That would make me feel more confident if we can ship out Kaboul and Britos and bring in a reliable centre back. Don’t think we’ve been linked with CBs though so I get the impression club is happy with the options.

Well I expect a very late bid for Mepham of Brentford. Scott must know how good he is. A forward and a defensive midfielder. Thiago Maia. Lille need money desperately so it's a waiting game.

Read an article about Mepham a few months ago. I think we rejected him when he was younger, so I reckon he wouldn't be so keen to join

Swap Britos & Okaka for two quality signings, and I don't think anyone can be too disappointed with that squad. It all depends on whether we can keep the rest of them fit

Yet again the defence and attack looks poor. Will we sign any other players?
It will be a top 7 battle for the title and a relegation battle for the rest of the sides.
We will be in the bottom 3.
I hope not, but we look weak. We need to depend on how poor the other strugglers play.

My day isn't complete if I don't find an update on rag-basket occupying tree-long Obbi Oulare. It's barely 1:30pm and my day is now done.

Even better, he's no longer described as 'tree-long' but now the preferred description is 'boom-long'.
Worryingly the article first describes ol' boom-long as a striker but in the next sentence as a goalkeeper. We all know neither is correct.

It seems Antwerp want him again and he was at their game on Saturday.
It's probably just a case of him being there while he rehabilitates but one can hope, one can only hope...

    https://www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nie...i-oulare-weer-op-weg-naar-antwerp?ref=popular

Obbi Oulare is on his way to Jupiler Pro League club (but not to Standard)

Obbi Oulare played last season on a rental basis for Antwerp.
In recent weeks, the Watford attacker was linked to Standard, but another loan is in the making.

It looks like the 22-year-old Oulare is moving to Antwerp again. On Saturday the boom-long striker attended the league match between KV Kortrijk.
The goalkeeper is currently rehabilitating at top classist Lieven Maesschalck.

Oulare wants a second season for the Great Old football, and Antwerp also has a place for him in the core.
At the club level there is as yet no agreement, reports Het Laatste Nieuws.

RAFC wants to finally take Oulare to the Bosuil. Watford paid 8 million euros three seasons ago to pick the striker at Club Brugge.
How much the Premier League club requires is not known.

A more definitive report from France on Obbi Oulare.
It looks like Antwerp (where his rehabilitation is based) want a permanent transfer - GET IN!!
    No fee agreed as yet.

I'll try to refrain from any more updates on Boom-Long but I fear if I don't add these here then he'll turn to dust and be forgotten, just like Eddie Denton.

    http://www.footnews.be/news/71890/retour-imminent-doulare-en-belgique-il-a-un-accord-avec-un-club-

Although he was slowed down by various injuries, Obbi Oulare had a good season at Antwerp.
But the 22-year-old striker still does not enter Watford's plans.

Obbi Oulare will soon be back in Jupiler Pro League.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, he found an agreement to return to Antwerp.
He was invited to the Bosuil on Saturday when the Great Old split against Kortrijk (0-0).

The Flemish daily explains that Antwerp has yet to reach an agreement with Watford.
Number 1 had rented Oulare last season, but this time he wants to transfer it definitively.
It remains to know the price requested by the London club, which had paid eight million euros to snatch it from Brugge FC three years ago.

Meanwhile, Oulare, operated at the end of April because of osteoarthritis at the hip, continues his revalidation at Lieven Maesschchalk, in ... Antwerp.

Standard Liege, who was very interested in the Belgian striker, now seems to be late on the record.

Just give him away to free up the wages. A genuinely shocking footballer and one of the worst ever Watford signings when you consider that he took the place of Forestieri and/or Vydra and left us with no alternative to Deeney-Ighalo even when they fell out of form. Forestieri and Vydra might've both been ***** in the Premier League but no-one can tell me they would've been worse than Oulare.
