Another one Silva supposedly wants to bring with him from Hull

Rumours of a £3m relegation release clause, which would be a huge bargain if true

I didn't see too much of him, but he's very quick and seems to have a decent end product. 5 assists in 15 appearances is pretty impressive in a relegated team.

He's a player who had an instant impact at Hull, and was one who really made a difference. Plays on the left though, so may hinder Success' position, but is a quality player.

Doesn't sound too amazing. If Silva does want him, I wonder if it's with the impact sub role in mind, or as a starter.

A no brainer for that price. Hopefully that could spell the end for Amrabat.

I thought he looked one of the least effective players in their team - Markovic seemed better.

Poor rating on whoscored for them as well: https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/214/Show/England-Hull

Don't know where you got that from? Whoscored has him down for 3.

Not bad for the quoted price but I'd really like to see us focus on bringing in some younger talent in this window. The average age of our squad is far, far too high.

Creative, good crosser and not afraid to get into the box. Grosicki on one flank, Berghuis on the other behind a central striker and Pereyra. Attacking threat. Question is their defensive work rate. Would they sink back into midfield . Pereyra would, Grosicki has a tendency to wander. But a great signing and shouldn't cost much.

I was very impressed with Markovic whenever I watched hull. Definitely an upgrade on what we currently have, pacey and actually capabl of going past defenders.

I took the 5 assists quoted in the linked article as a given - 3 is slightly less impressive.

Have you seen much of him? I haven't really but I've seen people say his crossing and final ball are awful. Sounds like a better version of Anya, speed and directness but final ball is lacking. Still, Silva has worked with him and if he thinks he's what we need then £3m is peanuts.

Fitness is an issue with him. If Silva can get him at the level he plays for Poland and indeed at Hull in some games he'll stretch the game with his pace and provide assists. That's where I have watched him. He's not been great at club level but he can pull a rabbit out of a bag and is a threat. With someone like Pereyra in midfield I can see him breaking into the box with threat although he's not a great finisher but pretty decent for a winger.

Would be a tidy signing if we got him cheap, With Niang apparently leaving (It hurts to see that sexy beast leaving) we could do with someone with a bit of pace (Obviously not on the levels of Niang) on the wing. He is also decent on the ball and is a better provider than most flashy speedster type wingers, but I still reckon we could find someone of either a higher pedigree or a younger talent that could come into fruition. Still, solid 6/10 from me.

Dont know much about him in all honesty, but he got five assists for Hull which is more than Amrabat i think and we desperately need to invest in some wingers. I couldnt take another season of watching us waste players like Abdi & Pereya filling in out wide.

Probably been following him for a while as they played together at Rennes.

If you're on Twitter then check out Marco Silva, he's started following plenty of Watford players. Interestingly there's a stand out player he hasn't followed yet.....Mr Deeney.

I like it, he's stamping his authority on the dressing room early. Nothing will hurt a professional footballer more in this day and age than not being followed on Twitter, Deeney knows who's boss now.

My main problem with this suggestion is that when he was at Rennes, he scored an insane spectacular 40 yarder from the wing, which was very very incredibly obviously not a purposeful shot, let alone an attempt to score a wonder strike, yet when it went in he roared off utterly unironically acting as though he had meant to do it.

The boy has absolutely no integrity whatsoever lads, can't be dealing with that. I demand an amused and slightly bashful smirking disbelief in these circumstances, not undeserved bragadoccio. A stain on his character that will never be washed off.

Sounds very promising, but I imagine that Berghuis would rather stay at Feyernoord, competing for trophies and playing in the Champion's league, than return here. Grosicki and Success may have to suffice as the wide men, if he doesn't go to West Ham.

Hull Daily Mail linking us and Newcastle with him again. WO and HM have picked up on the story. Supposedly Hull won't stand in his way of leaving if their £9mil valuation is met. I really wouldn't mind him here but not for that price. Feel we could find some other foreigner with our scouting network (Richard Hughes) who is younger, just a quick and has the ability to develop into a top player for £9mil.
