Of course he did, you silly *******.

I don't know how you missed that part, it's clearly not because you were at Weight Watchers.

The same pre season that left Quique deciding to play a sole striker?

My puzzlement is that you seem to be making insinuations about my size, but you don't know me

I'd say, since you've started posting your ******ous opinions on WD Sport's Facebook threads, there's no need to know you personally to know about your....................................size issues.

Seeing as Toszer has returned from QPR (as per Wobby report), I presume Vydra has returned/will shortly return from Reading.

Could he be selected in the squad for our remaining games? What's the rules?

Vydra was back last week, didn't even travel for Reading's last game I don't think. Hope he impresses the new boss in pre-season.

That aside a season long loan prevents a player playing for his parent club for the remainder of their season, even if the loan club are already done.

2 in 22 league games for Reading won't do that. What has happened to the guy?

To be frank he didn't look nailed throughout last season either - with his stint at the Baggies in-between it's three seasons since his peak.

He scored 16 / 17 goals last season including some stunners. Plus that great goal away to Brighton. All this and for the most part he wasn't that regularly in the starting line up due to ighalos form.

I bet the same people who don't want Vydra back are exactly the same people who want us to persevere with Quique and this turgid brand of football.

People who don't actually like football basically.

Not true at all. If he could recapture what he had then maybe. But Vydra wasn't great to watch most of last season, he cut mostly a frustrated figure, making runs at the wrong time. And that's in the Championship. He looked like a world beater three years ago, but he doesn't now. That's realism rather than the other things you suggest.

But I've nothing against him getting another chance in pre-season. He's still young.

Agreed. He also needs to be adaptable, listen to his manager, cut out his hissy fits and generally realise that the world doesn't revolve around him. He might then have a chance of being a reasonable Premiership player.

There is no evidence to suggest that he is guilty of any of these things.

Stop spreading nonsense unless you have the proof to back it up.

All down to Vydra's attitude. If he's happy being a squad player then he'd be really useful for us next season imo. Still open to significant improvement despite a couple of wasted seasons.

Agreed about Vydra's attitude. Compare Vydra to Vardy three seasons ago, both quick, yet Vydra was a better finisher with superior technique. Vardy is where he is today because he decided to get his head down and work his *******s off.

Personally, Vydra is very much a confidence player...he's one who needs an arm around him, however sometimes the 'stick' is necessary to send a message to his advisors (i.e. agent) who I don't believe have his best interests at heart.

If someone gave me the option of Iggy or Vydra partnering Troy...I'd personally pick Vydra as he offers much more in terms of playing deeper or playing across the line and using his pace. I also think he's a much more lethal finisher...when he's high on confidence.

Iggy for me is a one trick pony, too static, can't find a pass to save his life and blinkered.

However, with Penaranda and Success coming, does this mean that one of Iggy and Vydra are surplus? Not knowing Gino's mind but I can see him cashing in on Iggy and keeping Vydra. What leads me to this is Gino didn't sell him in the summer - gut instinct, Gino wants to keep him.

So, whoever is head coach, having Troy, Vydra, Penaranda and Success is exciting. Having Doucoure, who I think will be a great signing and play Amrabat in his natural position out wide. I'd even consider Layun coming back, then you have the flanks sorted by natural wide men.

If QSF goes back to Valencia then expect Jurado and maybe Suarez to go with him...Suarez I'd like to keep as I think he'll be important and will do well with Vydra.

Ah, Ondrej Chovanec. One of the stand-out villains of 2012/2013, with Ian Holloway and Anthony Knockaert.
