It would have been quicker for you to just have said you were spouting bollox instead of spouting a whole load more.
Yep, another £10 million on players like Oulare and Berghuis and it's Champions League here we come. Unless of course all signings are a bit of a gamble, and signings from abroad a lot of a gamble.
I seem to remember the reason Vydra left on loan was that QSF intended to play 4231 and Vydra neither fitted as a #9 front man nor inside / outside winger As it turned out we've ended up some 442 concoction and Vydra would have fitted very well It all now depends what QSF intends for next year... personally I think 433 might suit us (Success, Amrobat, Pandyman... outside of Deeney, with 3 across the middle from Watson, Capue, Suarez, Behrami...)
What, like Reading did taking him on loan. You need to look at their message board, most of the comments on there are not exactly complimentary!
I've watched Vydra play regularly for two years. Why would I care about what Reading's fans think about him?
I don't know where everyone gets the idea that Reading fans don't want Vydra. According to their forum poll, over 70% would sign him - just not for £10 million.
Vydra should never have been loaned out, as not only would he probably have scored more goals than Igahlo, he can also pass the ball, so TD would probably have scored more goals too!
If oulare, berghuis and that other useless one hadnt turned out to be utter plopsies then we wouldnt even remember how to spell vydras name. No one predicted they'd be as inept as they have turned out to be.
He has never let WFC down in the scoring department, so who cares what he has done elsewhere!!! So lets bring him home and he will deliver for us yet again!!!
Vydra has to come back next season, if only so we can adapt Newcastle's Mitrovic song for him.
Some Reading fans really don't like him do they! http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com...ding-fcs-matej-vydra-is-our-worst-ever-player
Fabulous article. Titled 'Matej Vydra is Reading's worst ever player', last paragraph states 'I'm not saying Vydra is Reading's worst ever player'. Concise.
One of the key points suggested in that article "we don't play to his strengths". Isn't that the reason Quique shipped him out because you have build your team and play a specific system just to suit Vydra. Unfortunately Vydra will never be a real success anywhere until he learns to be adaptable and follows the managers instructions.
Actually I think if teams did play to his strengths they would reap the rewards of many goals from him, and lets face it that is what football is all about; scoring goals and winning games, isn't it?
In that article it follows up the point that they could do a bit more to play to his strengths by saying that even then he still wouldn't be a great success: "However, my point is that when he has been in a position of having the ball and shooting, he generally puts it wide, high, weak, etc etc. His finishing has absolutely sucked!" It's the same argument that some people make on here about Jurado - if we just play him more centrally, play to his strengths more, give him the ball more etc. etc. he might do more. Well obviously if given plenty more opportunities to do something he eventually might, but that doesn't counter the fact that even when he has played centrally for us, and even when he does receive the ball in dangerous areas, he still invariably does bugger all with it.
Yes, incorporating a play-style to suit him would most likely get many goals, but what if said play-style doesn't suit the other 10 players on the pitch? What happens then? You ship goals, and lose matches. Hence surely it's better to leave him out if he doesn't suit?
In a parallel universe we kept Vydra, and sent Ighalo went to Reading on loan. Vydra scored 14 odd goals for us but none for a while; Iggy scores 3 or 4 for Reading and the parallel universe forum goes into meltdown over the fact that Iggy can onlu work with Deeney.
we got a dog 4 xmas n call it matty coz of vyrda it kept ****in on v carpit so we just let it go fink it got run ova on v a41 so no probz now:sign15:
Fair comment, but he was not given the chance to prove if it could work before being shipped out, which IMO, and probably others , was a big mistake!
