I've already been up to London Colney this morning and booed him. He looked a bit perplexed.

With him on the right and Holebas on the left we will have the most smacked arse-faced wide defenders in the league!

Hopefully be better than some of the other Spanish players we have brought!

Or at least stay fit .

My only worry is that last season was his first at right back, he's played as a winger before that. I know Silva likes attacking full backs but as we've seen with Holebas, in a back four they need to be able to defend as well.

We could accidentally have ended up signing a winger. Time to worry imo.

Obviously still worried about how his wife and kids are being treated. He'll cheer up once he knows they have been released unharmed.

Lots of positive comments coming from Alaves fans. Supposedly we beat Valencia and Galatasaray for his signature. La Liga fans in general seem to speak very highly of him. So I will trust their judgment as they saw him Week in Week out and say, by the sounds of it, we have signed a very good player.

Honestly don't know anything about him, so am choosing to listen to all the glowing reports and ignoring the negative ones. Sounds like a typical Pozzo signing (in a good way) - relatively unknown, free and coming from a solid if unspectacular team. Knew next to nothing about Pr*dl and he turned out pretty good so hoping this is similar (admittedly didn't know anything about Mario Suárez which didn't work out quite so well...).

The expression on his face might suggest he thinks Mazzari is still our manager! Any player would be worried. By all accounts he is talented and I reckon Silva is the one to get the best out of him. Release the wife and kids now! COYHS.

In view of his expression perhaps the song should be 'Free Kiko Femenia'?

For someone who played at RB for the first time consistently, his stats are pretty impressive. Out of the 47 times he's played at RB, 36 of those were last season. The other 11 are spread out over 4 seasons. Without getting too excited, I'm beginning to think that we have signed a player for free, who could be a real gem. Certainly looks like he will give Janmaat a run for his money.

I'm more concerned about his hair. His floppy, bleached, boyband-esque locks will be blown all over the place by the strong English winds. Does he know what he's let himself in for? I hope so.

I like your assessment backed up by hard facts. This guy had a hard time earlier in his career but he now seems to be on the up. Top clubs recognized his talent early on and I reckon Marco will tease the best out of him. Jaanmat seems to have picked up an unfortunate habit of over-extending in the tackle then getting injured. I would not be too surprised to see Feminia getting an extended run at RB and have a hunch he'll do OK. Also seems pretty grounded from what he says in the club video. What ever way you cut it must be an upgrade on our RB cover last season which was non-existent. coyhs!

Like The Maat he is a bit injury-prone but we should be able to cobble together one good RB out of two good but fragile players. A bit like getting a good pianist out of 2 one-armed men.
