Would be an interesting signing. He suffered from pretty terrible anxiety whilst he was at Barca, and left for Madrid in acrimonious circumstances as he didn't feel they'd given sufficient support. He's also only recently switched to right back from midfield. I can't see he'd be much of an upgrade on Djedje.

I'd be happy if we sign him. He's had a really good season for Alavés and I remember he set up the first goal against Barcelona in their famous 2-1 win at Camp Nou.

He struggles with his nerves a bit though, which will keep his transfer fee low, but he has bags of talent.

Odd move, this. That said, he's spent a lot of time at Hercules, which is a club that the Pozzos have had considerable interest in. They used them as a bit of a 'farm team' when they owned Granada (despite Granada having its own B team), and it was the club that Slavisa Jokanovic was at before he came here, so I assume Gino is probably reasonably familiar with him.
