It's not great seeing Murdoch managing to get his tainted fingers into yet more of the sporting pie.

The BBC have precious little interest in maintaining their portfolio. Partly because rights cost's have escalated and partly because they do not think it is value for money.

In a few yeats all they may show is what is on the protected events list...

That was a cracking race today, very enjoyable to watch.

I see Jenson now has more points then Hamilton. That just proves he is the best British driver there is.

Button seems to do better when he has nothing to lose. It might be that because he's 'out of it' that he can try a different strategy, then maybe luck plays a part and that strategy pays off. Did he have a record number of overtakes on Sunday?

Totally agree. Can we have every race on a circuit where overtaking is possible? Spectacular crash by Hamilton as well.

Button has made the most on track overtakes this season. He also would be 2nd in the driving standings if it was not for his 2 DNF'S which both were not his fault.

Vettel's lead at Monza was ridiculous.

And what do people think about Schumacher's double movements on Hamilton? Typical rule-bending Schumi or was he just on the line?

For me it was pushing the limits of what you're allowed, and it probably would have been a bit harsh to penalise him for it. The first move across the track is the defensive move, and then he has to move back across to the left to get a decent line through the next corner, otherwise he'd have probably ended up in the gravel/barriers. To those on the screen though, it looked like a double defensive manoevre, which it probably wasn't fully intended to be. He let Hamilton through in the end anyway, even if it may have meant LH didn't get past FA at the end.

For me the racing on track has been great this season, it's just a shame the title has effectively been won so early by Vettel. So from that point of view, i'm hoping next season will not be so predictable.

Vettel on pole and Webber 2nd. A red bull has been on pole for every race this season (yawn).

Like you say Ashdon, the racing has been good and there are many good drivers out there. Just a shame that it's so easily dominated by one man at the moment.

More proof that Jenson is a better driver than Lewis.

Hopefully this race is an indication of what it'll be like next year, with Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren all in the mix instead of single team, single driver domination.

Hopefully...the key is Red Bull always seem to get the advantage in qualiflying but the fact only Vettel does anything in the race whilst Webber doesn't says they aren't the unbeatable team some might think they are.

People spinning off, running wide and drifting at the new Indian GP circuit, so that could be interesting.

I don't think it's 100% ready though, some of the mud has been spray painted green to make it look like grass lol

    Agreed but early days.

Vettel still came 2nd last week in Oz despite an average grid position.

So far the coverage has been excellent. Sky have improved on the extra bits and bobs the bbc provided. Just waiting for a GP at a sensible time now to take full advantage of the live stuff.

It was good today as the race didn't start till 9am and then with the restart and that when I finally woke up it was only just restarting after the delay. Another good race today with the weather and I reckon Sauber done team orders and told The Mexican bloke not to overtake Alonso due to the Ferrari engine deal. Button had a shocker for once, unusual for him.

To be fair, without Kenneth Williams, it's never going to be a hit. I'd let the franchise rest.

Other than that, Bernie has always said F1 keeps out of politic despite being riddles with it internally. If everyone's safety is acceptable then I'd go ahead. AFAIK there are no sanctions imposed by any countries.

I'm not so sure, his mind is elsewhere this season (and last). I think it will be Alonso, Button and Vettel on the podium.

Very good race... Seems McLaren always insist on their drivers doing it the hard way! Well driven by LH - very much deserved.

He's shown England the way, now all the footballers need to do is deliver tomorrow!

to be honest hamilton has been very focused this season. he has been driving really well, just been let down at times by the team. last season he was not with it, but this year he has been the most consistent driver i would say.

I'm not so sure. He has by far the fastest car and he has only just taken the lead of the championship. Obviously he has had the team problems, with pit-stops and tactics/timings but he should be running away with this. The Red Bulls have no pace, whilst Ferrari started very slowly and still wouldn't be anywhere without Alonso.

But well done to Lewis on this one, as you can see I wrote him off and he proved me wrong. So maybe now he will start performing more frequently.

He hasn't been helped by the team messing up in pit stop or fuel strategies though. He probably would have 2 more wins if they hadn't. Button's form is a bit worrying though, he just doesn't look competitive at all recently.
