Wish I chucked a couple of quid on it now. To me Button looks like he doesn't have faith in the car and as a result isn't performing as he should be.

Interesting race in Valencia now Vettel has stopped..

Can Grosjean make it 8 different winners?

Or Alonso going to make it a home win.

Another messed up pit-stop from Mclaren.

Hamilton would have won if it hadn't been for those darned pit crew idiots!

Hamilton's tyres were screwed. He would have been lucky to haved held on to 9th

Hamilton had cocked it up bit time already. Good race, but not close to Canada last year for me.

Pity the tax dodgers aren't doing so well.

Bottom can manage his tyres but has no confidence in his car. Hamilton Academical keeps the faith in Martin but cannot manage his tyres.

Pastor Maldonado points to Monaco last season as Homilton snarls. Shame for Grosjean. Kimi needs to sharpen up and Lotus can claim their first GP win for a while.

HRT to score their first ever point in 2017. Up the Schumi.

Button qualifies 18th, what was he driving a Skoda?

I fancy Hamilton to place as well as Romain Grosjean.

My money would be on Alonso... but hopefully will be a good race and Hamilton or JB can pull out something decent!

I'm going tomorrow - better prepare for the monsoon!

Alonso let Webber in to win there.

I bet Hamilton is not a happy bunny; it seems to me that this years team strategy has been pretty woeful. I think today might just be the final straw and he may well decide to look for another team next season!!!

I reckon Button will be even less happy, he is now a mid-field runner. After having the strongest car at the start of the season, they are possibly only the 5th best team now. My tip would be Webber to Ferrari next year (depending on how the Championship goes for him) and Lewis or Jenson to replace him at Red Bull. Di Resta could then join McLaren if that was to go through as he seems to be getting very itchy feet and bigging himself up in the press.

Hamilton was quoted as saying he knows what he is doing going forward, before the race. He's been a McLaren Baby since he was a baby and I'd be surprised if he switches to another team. It's a dip in form but McLaren have the resources to pull it back.

I wouldn't rule out an IndyCar switch. They've got to be interested in a big bucks driver to promote their "sport" in Europe and Mrs Hamilton is US born & bred.

I'd be surprised if he made the change. IndyCar is much less glamorous and I'm not sure that'd fit in with his aims. The tracks are much bumpier, pitstops are more hectic and error-prone and they don't like rain - Hamilton's speciality.

Although the much closer racing and spotters so you don't need to check blindspots would suit his style. I doubt his tantrums would go down well though!

I've always wanted to go, but it seems so expensive. Did you get a Grandstand seat and was it worth the money?

You're right. I'm not sure it would be a great move for him, but his driving style reminds me a lot of Mansell who did pretty well in his first year out there.

Is it just me or is the Hockenheimring an awful track? The old Hockenheim was so much better, this one is the identikit version of an F1 circuit. Boo! That is all.

Found to be within the techincalities of the rules, but not within the spirit. Expect a rule update for the next race. No penalty.

That would be great! Or even just the short Nurburgring every year, I quite like that compared to most of the 'new' tracks.

The Nurburgring is in trouble financially. They may not even be on next years calendar - could be coming to Hockenheim every year instead. I'm not a big fan of Hockenheim. One overtaking spot really and that's at the hairpin - the Nurburgring is much better, and it would be a shame to see it slide from the calendar.

It's not really his fault. This season he's done the job he needed to. He talked a good game before the start of the season in terms of consistently picking up points rather than going for the top of the podium and potentially not picking points up at all. However, in the first few races he was let down by his mechanics or the team, and more recently McLaren have let him and Jenson down big time in terms of the car. Well raced by Jenson today, and glimpses showed the pace was there, but they're not sticking with Red Bull and Ferrari like they should.

Poor race for Webber, amusing penalty for Vettel (deserved too), and enjoyed seeing Lewis unlap himself much to the Sebastian's disgust. But yeah, I hope Alonso starts dropping a few points soon or he'll run away with it.

I have heard snippets of info about Nurburgring being in financial trouble, but not much. Like you say, it'd be a real shame for it to go. Hopefully they'll find a backer.

No it's not really been his fault much this season, but his previous actions and his attitude make me dislike him. He's like a sulking child. Plus he thinks he's Senna, which I find insulting to the great man.

What was Vettel thinking? He would easily have passed Button before the end! That mistake ruined my prediction, which was correct 1, 2 and 3 before the penalty. Oh well!

The thing is though, Hamilton has the potential to be a great, and has always been competative since he came into the sport. It's just a shame for him that now we're in his 6th season, he's only got one World Championship to his name. McLaren really need to give him a car that is consistently competative and cut out the human errors that have occured in the pit stops.

As for Vettel, I agree - he was always going to get Button... it was clear as day from about 7 laps from the finish. JB's tyres were shot, and it was perhaps a bit of inexperience on his part to drive off the track and still gain a place without giving it back just incase, regardless of whether he knew if Button was inside him or not.

That said, I dislike Vettel, so i'm pleased to see him be punished by the stewards for once. It was deserved, and I think JB deserved 2nd place too.
