I'm sure his wages being trebled will soften the blow.

Now when fulham play at least 50% of the championship they'll have one player who cost them more than the entire team they're playing against cost.

Would have liked to have signed him, but still can't believe we've signed Gomes

not a bad player, but 4m is a fair wedge for a player who i always felt flattered to deceive in the premiership. mind you he is ok as a championship defender, just not sure i would pay 4m for him.

Mancienne to Forest for just over £1m. A good signing for them I feel.

SSN reporting that the Mutch fee was around £6m.

We're replacing Mutch with Brum's Tom Adeyemi. Having a medical tomorrow. Apparently rated more highly than Mutch was

wasn't too impressed with him last season to be honest, an average championship player at best.

have you completed your big summer signing of jose fonte yet?

Is he worth £8m? Because not only was Mutch sold for £6m, bids for Deeney haven't even been looked at and we're up to £7.5m, despite you assuring us Mutch was worth more.

I'd love to know how you've come to this one seeing as he's spent the last couple of seasons plying his trade in League 1 and the wrong end of the Champ as well as actually being ca. 2 months older than Mutch.

I haven't 'come up with this one', I'm saying what I've seen Brum fans say. Mutch only had 11months left on his contract, to get 6m for him is quality negotiating. If you think Deeney, who has never played in the prem, is worth more than Mutch, you need your head testing

FRB, on the benchmark of what Lesta paid for Ulloa, comparing age/exp/goals etc between Ulloa & Deeney, what value would you place on him if he was one of your strikers?

How about scoring and assisting against the premier league champions? Does that count for nothing?
I would say Deeney is worth mutch more.

He is worth as much as somebody is prepared to pay. £6m for Mutch. A club was prepared to pay £7.5m for Deeney and may offer to pay more. My maths was always my strong point but just in case others aren't so mathematically minded, £7.5m is more than £6m!:naughty:

I think Ulloa's fee is crazy. Don't rate him. I'd probably put him at 5/6m. If Mutch had longer on his contract we could have gotten well above 9m.

Yes and Mutch had 11 months or less on his contract, Deeney has another year on Mutch's contract
