Good for Leicester I say. Seriously doubt they can do that, but how refreshing to see a club have goals, rather than see the dreadful Allardyce fielding the youth team in the FA Cup just so he can manage to come 13th in the Premier League.

 

Agree, nothing wrong with Lesta having ambition; although realistically not one player in the squad is top 5 material. Would any of them get into Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Utd?

So they will have to persuade some of the worlds best players to go there, spend an incredible amount of money in doing that, and at the same time not destroy team spirit and cohesion by replacing too much at once; and even at the end of all that there is no guarantee they will be anywhere near top 5.

Abramovich was rumoured to have spent £2B on Chelsea; Mr Vichy Hubbabubba better be prepared to spend at least half that ! I tend to think it won't happen....

That's a bit harsh. I did laugh when he claimed Mutch was a) better than Deeney; b) worth more than £8m+, and I've got to say, I've played my fair share of football manager and never even heard of Islam Feruz, so that's one that he probably didn't need to inform us of, particularly as they're only at the 'battling it out' stage, and he hasn't actually joined them yet.

But all in all, based on past experience and despite his long absence, he's one of the better posters to post here from another club.

If you really want to discuss general championship transfer stories why not start a conversation about something other than your team's latest acquisition?

 

FRB needs to interject waffling about his own club with compliments to Fernando Forestieri and saying the Watford loan thing is interesting rather than abhorrent. That's how I've managed to stick around.

A few mentions of Gary Fisken wouldn't hurt either, FRB.

I don't mean to fan the flames, but seeing as 95% of stuff in this thread is Cardiff related, should it really have been titled "Championship Transfes Thread"?

 

Not sure what's odd about it? We've only spent 1m in fees. He is a holding mid (something we need). I am very happy as are most.

 

Personally don't rate him at all. He did ok at palace basically because he was next to a much better player.

 

I think he means that you signed a shed load of players in January from the word go and have signed a shed load more ever since the season ended.

We were linked with him last summer, not sure whether it was genuine interest or he was angling for a move to the Championship.

Decent player. 3 million is far too much for a player who's only proven himself in the German Third Division and the Austrian League.
