We wanted him to play for us but Villa overruled us.

Free to read article by Leventhal. Doesn’t say it’s happened - but written very much from the point of view that it’s a foregone conclusion.

‘Understands’ the stories around talks with Xisco are genuine but no clue on role. Would be too big a risk surely....which is why it’ll probably happen.

To be fair to the club, the regular hirings and firings at least generate an element of excitement. In between the grinding drudgery and disappointment, I always get a bit of excitement about who the next manager might be. The new fan bounce almost.

The Georgian league is surely even more tinpot than the Israeli one.

Xisco could be the new manager. Another cheap, foreign import who had glory in the almighty Georgian League...

    give me strength!

If it's this Xisco bloke then it's confirmed that Pozzo has absolutely lost the plot and needs hounding out.

I spose we might be the first club to sack a manager whilst occupying the play off spots for basically half the season.

    I'm feeling a bit sad really :(

But will get over it in time.

    Just had a quick look:

Average attendance of Maccabi Tel Aviv was about 21,000 and for the whole League about 7,400.

Average attendance of Dinamo Tbilisi was about 1,700 and for the whole League about 1,400.

On a slightly less tinpot note though, one of the supposed best techno clubs in the world is in the basement underneath Dinamo Tbilisi's stadium (named Bassiani).

Strange as you were very smugly informing people on the shoutbox this afternoon that there was no possibility that he would go after this game regardless of the result, spewing what you claimed were 'facts' and asking Smudger how long he had been watching football as though he was being naive in suggesting that he might.

    Life comes at you fast.

This is slightly misleading, as they are both reporting it as privileged access, they are not merely repeating claims made on social media - you can see an example on my previous post from the twitter of Sami Mokbel earlier in this thread.

From our position in the table after today yes, and not at all smugly, however as I have said in previous posts the 2 scenarios where I saw him going was an alarming slide down the table or a manager v owner or players clash. If the reports are true, the latter has happened.

Firstly, very disappointed with how this has gone. I still remember that viral clip from the pre season Spurs game and thinking Ivic was taking up straight back up.

Secondly, I absolutely hate this guy. He has no personality, no panache, plays the type of football that puts you to sleep. This season was meant to be exciting even if not ultimately successful, this footballing terrorist has removed that too.

Now, I feel sorry for him because he didn’t want Deeney, he didn’t want Capoue, he didn’t want Murray, he wanted a left back, he hasn’t had Hughes and a few other things with which the blame lies at the feet of Gino & co.

Funny thing is, if he was a little bolder in style and selection, most on here would have backed him over Deeney every day of the week. People have been dying for Deeney to be dropped, yet he’s somehow ended up more disliked than Troy!

It’s a shame, this could’ve been great but he has not helped himself.

I just don’t know who on Earth will be crazy enough to take this job next.

We're also a very likely loss to Norwich from being mid table.

You can absolutely ***** right off and save your revisionism, and the idea that you have been anything other than aggressively and belligerently wrong against all available evidence throughout, for some other forum.

Just watched Danny shaking his head. Cannot identify what the team is doing. Plenty of high end talent upfront but no goals. Why ? So no surprise Ivic for the chop from him.

Staggering really from Manat but not surprising. The defence of the players, hierarchy, Ivic and others by him especially Ivic's main striker who cannot control a ball as was seen several times this afternoon is amazing. Lives in La la land I am afraid Chumlax.

So a case of ‘something won’t happen unless I give all scenarios where it might’?

Hardly sticking your neck out is it. You told me more than once in the past week he wouldn’t be sacked. Own it.
