Rumours all over social media that he is gone or in the process of going. I have no sauce on this one.

If so Bilic in? I can’t imagine we will ever get Howe as a manager but I wouldn’t say no.

It’s a real shame as I think I like others bought into the Ivic hype over the summer. However the football that has followed has been completely insipid, I haven’t watched a game since the derby game. I’m sure others feel the same.

I am sure we will get stick for it from the usual places but the football has been poor as you say and certainly not got the best out of the squad.

  3. Drops Troy... falls out with him (disciplinary problems)... gone? Player power is all that's been wrong with this club for years.

Really hope Pozzo has learnt his lesson from the QSF debacle. The writing has been on the wall with this clown for a while, we’re just wasting time as this point

The best time to get rid of him was a month ago, the second best time is now

Only downside is this will be seen as another victory for toxic player power. Unfortunately for us, the most disruptive figures seems to be those on the most money who we cannot shift

He can't leave. Tier 4 rules. Has to stay until we invent a vaccine against boring football.

  9. Of course, if we have a new manager, it means Deeney remains undroppable for another season

We're never going to move on from the fat slow useless turd are we....

As long as the club continues to employ players who are incapable of accurate passes of even the shortest length, remain static instead of moving into space when we have the ball, react to opposition play instead of anticipating it so are yards behind play and who, when play breaks down, drift away from play and switch off instead of busting a gut to get back into position or try and win the ball back then it's irrelevant who the head coach is. These so called footballers can't do the basics and it's embarrassing to watch them 'play'.

The players may have some talent but it's not been on show for some time now. Add to that a lack of application over 90 minutes week in week out and it won't appear on the pitch any time soon.

The club failed to off load the likes of Deeney between this season and last and look - we still appear unmotivated, just like huge parts of every season for years now. Deeney is the obvious player to name but there are others who are playing a negative part in the clubs demise on the field.

If it's just Ivic who goes then the same cycle will repeat for heaven knows how long. If we don't get rid of players who don't want to be here or who are cruising on high wages then this malaise will go on for years.

Giraldi has left so a glimmer of hope remains that any transfer policy employed will be better under Giaretta but if the players who appear to hold sway at the club remain, then I don't see anything other than a dire future ahead.

It would seem an obvious appointment under the circumstances.

But is he that attacking? How did he usually set his West Brom side up last season?

Good idea, we should recall Walcott from his loan at Southampton as well while we're at it.

No we aren’t with Gray up front .

Now there is someone who should be sacked and made to pay for his selfish actions.

Two things wrong with the club.
    1. A manager who seems unwilling to modify tactics, select a settled side and makes bizarre choices in the pursuit of sterile football
    2. Several players within the club that wield undue influence and are an exceedingly bad role model for the younger players.

Need to remove Ivic and in the next window in whatever way possible shift at least Capoue and Gray even if it means at a loss. We need hungrier younger players and a new captain.

The fact that Gino does not understand the effects player power can have on a clubs fortunes from the many examples in footballing history is also concerning. These changes in players needed to be made before the season started. He also cannot escape blame for not fully helping Ivic in terms of the players he wanted. It always helps a manager if he can bring in his own players to control the dressing room and make sure his ideas implant within the rest of the squad. GT always did this.

So while we may criticize Ivic we also need to turn our ire on Gino and his chums like the chinless wonder Duxbury and some of the players within the dressing room some of whom clearly it would seem to have formed a Deeney clique. The likes of Gray, Capoue and Chalobah for instance given the body language on the field.

The amount of precious resources the likes of Gray, Capoue and Deeney are consuming given their output is frightening. We needed to bring in players like Toney and Grimes, make Hughes club captain and set the club on a new course.

Had to sack him now before new rules come in on Jan 1st and you can't get a work permit for a **** Italian head coach with an underwhelming CV.

Watford set to sack manager Vladimir Ivic after just four months in charge

The 43-year-old could leave Watford in the next 48 hours

    ByJohn Percy19 December 2020 • 7:37pm

Watford manager Vladimir Ivic is facing the sack after just four months in charge, following the 2–0 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Saturday, their fourth loss of the season.

Appointed in August on an initial one-year contract, the Serbian was charged with the task of guiding Watford straight back to the Premier League following their relegation last season.

Ivic was the 12th permanent head coach owner Gino Pazzo has hired in the last eight years, following the dismissal of Nigel Pearson before the end of the last campaign.

Yet there have been frequent rumours of friction with the squad and it now appears the 43-year-old will leave Watford in the next 48 hours.

Ivic took the decision to drop skipper Troy Deeney for alleged discipline issues ahead of the game at Huddersfield.

When asked on Deeney's absence from the starting 11 Ivic said: “He didn’t start because he played a lot of full games recently.

“I believe that he wasn’t ready to play from the beginning but the reason he wasn’t able to come on was a discipline issue.”

When asked if Deeney had a future at the club, Ivic added: “I don’t know, we will see.

“It’s between us and I don’t want to speak about this. I’m the coach and I know what is my responsibility.”

Ivic is a needlessly defensive, stubborn, miserable turd and 100% deserves to go.
But the board hired him. The board also constructed this squad. The ultimate responsibility is on them, once again. They really, really need to get it right next time.
No-one is in the right here and frankly it's embarrassing.
HOWEVER we can easily still manage to go up this season if things get sorted out in the right way. New manager that fits the club, transfer window to strengthen the squad... It's possible. This is a poor Championship this year.
I'm just not sure I have faith in the board to pull it off.

Just a 'what if..?' suggestion but, what if the report of Xisco Muñoz coming here to be assistant is true and Ivic is speaking out, sort of, about Deeney because he knew the writing was on the wall.
