Now just hang on a minute Smudger!
I have more coaching qualifications than you can shake a stick at AND I can recite the Furphy team backwards.
I have my own cones, ladders and various co ordination techniques. I demand to be Molly Rush the tea lady!
If not I'm calling TS,606 and calling for a coup amongst my fellow mad as a balloon associates.

Agree with the decision but the statement still rings true. It’s just unsustainable and is losing fans in the wider picture of things. I hate what we have become.

With that list you can definitely me another of my assistant coaches. The more brains involved the better. :)

He probably was the obvious choice but I don't blame him for not starting the game that way, especially as their right winger would've skinned Wilmot had he been one-on-one more often.

Whether by design or because of reverting to wing-backs, trying to play Sarr centrally was an interesting experiment. Having our most skilful player involved more rather than stuck out on the right was worth a go and may have worked better with Perica ahead of him, to play off - never going to be TD today! - but Gray just isn't good enough for that role.

As for Perica, again I'm not so surprised he hasn't started games since returning to the side after dislocating his shoulder. Depending on the extent of the dislocation it can seriously weaken the joint so I think he's been protecting him to some extent. I know when I popped my left shoulder out years ago I was struggling for strength in the joint for months and I wasn't being bumped, cajoled or knocked to the floor every 3 days while playing football!

I think it is a bloody complicated game, to be honest. Especially when you have to be a coach.

:D I am sure Manat is a nice person otherwise and he is a fellow Watford fan. Just happens to be completely wrong about what the hierarchy, coach and players have been doing in recent months. There is a thing called misplaced loyalty and defending the indefensible.

Watford FC confirms the departure of Head Coach Vladimir Ivi* with immediate effect.

Ivic’s coaching staff will also be leaving Vicarage Road.

The Hornets thank Ivi* and his staff for their efforts this season and wish them well for future success elsewhere.

No further comment is available from the club.

no wonder we can’t buy any new players, always paying off Head coaches and their many staff!

Another positive thing about his departure is we'll never have to see the random star on his bloody name again.

That's that then. Part of me feels today's performance was almost put on to get him the boot. No way of confirming or denying this of course, just my own theory.

Well, started well, then got totally crap when trying formations. Just like Gracia towards the end, he had his own system and stuck to it. We all knew 4 4 2 was a good fit, but he was too stubborn to change. Players revolted on the pitch and yes it's a bit of player power, but as fans we could see what was working and what system suited us. It's a shame, and I do wish him well, but that's what happens at Deeney FC.

Seems I can rest easy now. So happy he’s had his say, can’t quite believe he’s decided to do so now we’re in Championship. Lineker probably thought Norwich, Bournemouth and us were wound up as clubs once relegated from the EPL.

To be fair, that was decent from Lineker tonight.

Unfortunately the culture at the club is rotten, the player staff if spoilt and simply here to pick up a wage packet. The powers that be are simply ridiculous.

I wonder what would have happened had we won at Huddersfield, Would the Deeney issues get addressed or would he still have been fired?

  24. 442 is a ******* awful system; it gets easily overloaded in midfield, there tends to be fewer passing angles, and all we do with it is go direct to TD

  25. Manatleisure

Not necessarily. We started with 2 against Preston on the front foot with not much hoofing to TD going on. And 1 up front with Deeney under Pearson we often hoofed it up to him.
