Well done hb1. You have indeed 'gone the extra mile'. I'd be surprised if those figures weren't statistically valid in showing there's something generic going on. Statisticians comments please? The figures also suggest that we have a particular problem when the game's in the balance. Which has probably been said before.
Statistically valid for what hypothesis exactly? Given that the period of time the stats are taken from spans different ownership, different managers, different players, and different leagues, I'm not really sure what useful thing you can even conclude. Vicarage road is cursed? It's the fans fault? The water in Watford does something to the players? Without looking at other clubs of similar stature you can't even say that the trend is exceptional.
I didn't see that but noticed that more than one muff fan one was going out of their way to wind up the home support. There are certain things you don't do at away grounds when mingling with the home fans, it's not the 70's but common sense dictates that ones mouth stays firmly shut until well clear.
Wait, are you trying to say that mouthing off to a group of pissed-up testosterone charged angry blokes might not be the best idea? Who'd have thought... Honestly can't believe people are that stupid.
Oh, your intent was clear, wasn't having a go at you. More marveling at the sheer stupidity of deliberately winding up a drunken, irritated group of people that outnumber you. It doesn't matter what year it is, that's just plain stupid.
He was worth the entry fee alone. It was one of those performances where you secretly save all the data for a little **** as soon as you get home.
As a statistition, it is totally meaningless as there is no data comparison. You would need to compare it to other teams in our position. It would also be useful to see how we compare in away games, as if it evens out, which this data gives us no way of telling, then it may be that there is a trend for away teams to score more late goals. Good stats, but with nothing to compare them too, they are just fuel to depress oneself with. You might encourage your friend to complete the job, which will, likely as not provide him with a stronger argument, but at the moment, statistically, the data only tells us we score less late goals than other teams at the Vic.
I've just made the exact same "YEAH!" noise flash gordon makes after being told he's saved the earth.
