Troy Deeney

Troy has improved massively and shows some nice touches. However both our strikers are guilty of awful passing, I wouldn't say Troy isn't good technically though. Ighalo is pretty dreadful until he gets near or in the penalty area and likewise Troy does his best work around the area but can be sloppy in other areas. But that's fine because that's why they are on the pitch, to get us goals!

 

So in a nutshell, we've just established that Troy isn't a midfielder.

Malky seemed to have a point to prove on that front.

 

Such rubbish, Deeney can make any half decent striker look amazing

Look at Vydra's scoring when playing alongside Deeney compared to with someone else...

It did - they played brilliantly together when Fessi was fit, particularly in Zola's first season and towards the end of the 13/14 season.

 

No. Not because of his ability (I'm sure there are replacements out there), more how he seems to have had a major influence on gelling the squad.

I dont think anyone thought it was a brilliant partnership. Good at times but also very poor at times.

Deeney and Forest were great together. Especially the few opportunities they got tosh ther last year.

He even made Ranegie look untouchable.

You stick a half decent finisher next to Troy and they'll score without doubt.

It said united were going to make a bid of 75m for bale & and underneath Arsenal were going to make a surprise bid of 20m for Deeney.If true he will be gone if they up it a bit more I think.

Unless it works out well, in which case he'll be back in 2 years to say it was one of his suggestions, along with increasing traffic through the town centre, building a new tube system under Norwich, and moving Norwich nearer the coast. But pedestrianisation was definitely on the list.....

I would have thought as a lifelong and REAL Watford fan, you'd appreciate everything he's done for the club.
