I know, spot biting but I just can't help myself...

"Watford have not won any of their last six games, and they have not signed anyone in the transfer window yet to try and arrest their slump in form".

Didn't realise we've had Tom Cleverly all along.

Paul Merson often follows the same line as Lawro: "This team is having a slump in form, they lost a game they should have won, nosediving, no confidence... that said, I think they will beat Watford."

Merson had us down for a 3-0 defeat.

    Ouch!

Walter really would be under pressure if that happened.

Can you imagine ML as our manager? "Ok lads - go out and on stand on the sidelines for 90 minutes so I can get my predictions right about you every week".

I think he has only had us down to win twice - I hope we thump Preston if we play them again soon :D

I've looked at Merson's prediction again. 3-0 to Manchester United. It's not the fact that he's predicted us to lose that bothers me; it's more that he predicted them to win 3-0 immediately after saying that they're bad finishers.

    Merson's Arsenal v Hull prediction....

This is typical Arsenal. They will win 3-0, everything will be great again and Arsene Wenger will be the best manager in the world. The pressure is on, though, as if they lose this game I don't see how he can keep his job. It would be that toxic that I couldn't see him staying. Hull are doing very well but Arsenal tend to beat these teams.

I am slow hand clapping this.

Lawro brings joy to my day. It made me laugh out loud when I saw that he has not once predicted Liverpool to lose! They'd be top of the league now and sitting pretty. Of course he isn't biased at all...

And to add what a hypocrisy the BBC is , here is an article by Lawrenson himself, on the BBC website, complaining that young English players are over paid. At least English players are over paid by a private corporation rather than by anyone who owns a television whether they want to watch the BBC or not.

Oh dear not a good omen.

Bet he didn't predict a 2-0 win last season

He hates West Ham for some reason and always predicts they will lose. It's more to do with that than anything else, and yes he did predict we'd beat them 2-0 last season.

Is that why, in the Lawro League Table, West Ham are on exactly the right number of points and one place higher than their real position, yet we are 19 points and 6 places worse?

    Just askin'.

I know you love the smug approach, but it's as boring as it is predictable. You're always on the look out for cheap wins and put downs.

Go on the West Ham forum and they claim he rarely predicts they will win. Last season this was certainly the case and he had West Ham relegated.

I've not looked at Lawro League this season, but I bet he has Liverpool top. The guy should not be taken seriously as he is a dinosaur, full of bias and prejudices.

I'm really not, you dullard. I saw your post and thought 'really?'. The BBC page was open in another window, prompted by this thread, so naturally I had a look. You just can't stand even the tiniest tickle, can you? Makes you entertaining, up to a point, I suppose.

Oh yes you are I'm afraid.....and your next step is to use derogatory terms like "dullard" just because I called you on it.

A "tiny tickle" can be tolerated and even enjoyed by people with no agenda, but you always want to appear superior and you are tedious because of it.

I'll let you have the last word as I know you always want that......but I thought you needed to hear a few home truths.

Lawro may be biased and predictable.. but he's a hell of a lot better at predicting our results than we are.

Looking at the games we've had polls on the outcome this season the results are as follows..
Chelsea home- Forum predicts Watford win. Result- Chelsea win.
United home- Forum predicts draw. Result- Watford win.
Burnley away- Forum predicts Watford win. Result- Burnley win.
WBA away- Forum predicts WBA win. Result- WBA win.
Everton home- Forum predicts Everton win. Result- Watford win.

Forum 1 game predicted correctly in 5.. a 20% success rate.
Lawro has predicted 15 out of our 26 games correctly. A 58% success rate.
