Another rowing gold. Two women in a boat. No idea what the name of the event is or why it's different to the other two women in a boat who won, but yay!

Completely agree Moog. As soon as she said she was pleased with the Bronze earlier in the week and everyone said what a great achievement it was (for a defending champion to be miles off the pace), the seeds were sown for more disappointing results. She should have been disappointed and pledged to make up for it by winning Gold in the 800m. Very disappointed in her defeatest attitude!

Just listen to the men who got a Silver in the rowing this afternoon, they're gutted that they didn't win and were in tears. THAT is the type of sportsperson we need in order to win a Gold.

The attitude of all our swimmers has been markedly amateur compared with competitors in other sports. It's as though they've not been ingrained with a competitive mentality. They all seem to be at the Olympics for a day out and to come 6th or 8th.

I really don't think Ennis is all that. Louis Hazel is better looking IMO.

I was telling my wife the same. Such is our admiration for Jess, that if I did, I think Mrs Moog would high five me, rather than be angry.

Just got back from Eton Dorney, what can I say 2 gold and nearly three in the space of an hour or so, a once in a liftetime experience and only 10 metres from the finish line to boot.

I ditto that almost word for word (except it's Eton not Eaton!). What a great thing to witness, I shall not forget it!

Greg Rutherford! Well bloody done! He would have got Gold Silver and Bronze, as he has done the best 3 jumps.

How many medals? I make that 6 golds in one day! All sorts of records. Best day for Team GB for over 100 years or so!

I think the target was 1-2 gold medals for athletics. 3 in a night. Incredible.

I think that Mo Farah moment was one of my favourite Olympic moments ever. Great race and a great person.

What a fantastic day. That hour in the evening was truely fantastic.

Very proud to be British tonight - and as has been said by a few now - Farah winning that in the way he did, probably will go down as one of my favourite sporting moments. Delighted for Ennis too, and Rutherford's interview was entertaining following a great set of jumps!

I was worried we wouldn't get to 19 golds but we'll easily pass that figure now!

Muist have been amazing to be in the athletics last night.

    5/6 finals..3 gold medals!

I hope people note it won't always be like that though...

Feel for Rutherford and indeed for the other gold winners in the rowing. Their massive acheivements seem almost overshadowed by Mo and Jess. As for the other rowers, didn't some boat win a silver? The fact that that's not being mentioned shows what a momentus day it was.

All three athletes showed how to use the crowd to their advantage. Rutherford jumped further, Jess would possibly have settled for a good time in the 800m, but with the crowd behind her, pushed on to win in style. Mo just went for it. With 80,000 people behind him, even the great Bekele brothers had no chance of matching him. It was magical.

It was so amazing, that I think I speak for most football fans, when I say my reaction to team GB's defeat in the football on penalties was a resounding "meh."
