A lot of that is based on ‘if’s’ and isn’t factual though? Your picking numbers out and confirming deals etc?

Serious? We have large external debt plus have already borrowed against all our revenue streams. We also owe transfer instalment fees. We will still have a large wage bill with vastly reduced revenue.

Do you realise the impact of Sarr will only be transfer fee less his carry amount in the accounts? (i.e minimal). And we have yet to see the deteriorated 2020 accounts as well with compensation for multiple management teams and reduced prize money.

Someone will want to move this to finance in a moment so let’s leave it but if you think we aren’t in a financial mess you need to think again.

 

Stop being a drama queen. Yes the club, like most football clubs (and most businesses around the world... just look at airlines or cruise companies or offshore drilling for instance if you want to see really bad) is not in the best of health but that is vastly different to a frankly ridiculous tale of oblivion some on here are spouting.

Yes we have borrowed against a future revenue stream. Doesn't that tell you anything? It tells me a lender has reviewed our business health (in far more detail that amateurs on a football forum) and is satisfied we are an acceptable risk loan.

 

Didn't realize it was yesterday, not today. Still seems fairly likely that it is someone else given that Troost-Ekong has shared images of himself in training yesterday, featured in social media of teammates training in Udine today and played 45 mins in their final friendly, after which he was interviewed by local media. Even if he was here signing yesterday it seems a little strange for him to rejoin training at Udinese today rather than get his stuff together in preparation for a move. You don't think its possible that someone else's arrival is imminent instead?

 

So he posts a picture of him training and that must have been taken on the same day? Could have been the day before, the week before...from any number of training sessions.

I'm sure it has been - and I, for one, always appreciate information shared in good faith, even if the transfer or whatever doesn't transpire. But it does seem strange for him to come round our training ground ahead of a transfer, return back to Udine, share an old photo of him training on social media, and then train the next day with his former Udinese teammates. Your source at the training ground said they saw someone being taken round but didn't get a good look at them, so surely it's possible that they were talking about someone else?

 

Of course it’s possible as the person I know at LC is no football fanatic and is more into horticulture truth be told...so yes, of course it could have been someone else.

That said, from what I’ve been told, he hasn’t signed yet hence me saying that in my first post about it. So it’s quite feasible he was here and had returned back to any number of reasons.

I’m not ITK. Far from it. I just give the loose info that I ask for and sometimes get. If it comes to pass, great. If not, all done in good faith. Certainly got no interest in ever attempting to be ITK as well as it’s a poisoned chalice on this forum!

Sure. Well thanks for sharing and for your input. A lot of hate on here for people that happen to hear stuff - but I'm always a fan of stuff being passed on! Of course, transfers move so quickly and can fall apart so quickly, so information can be true yet the transfer can still not happen.

I corrected myself re.Deeney within minutes of the post. You’d be surprised how many people don’t have the ability to do that on here mind you...

And I entirely stand by my info regarding Estupinan’s contract. Seems like those of a ‘clapping’ nature who want to believe the player only had a year left. Yet to see anyone give a plausible reason why we let a player go on a two year loan when they only have 2 years left on their deal.

Nope. I know two people within the club. One is office based and the other is not.

 

I'm yet to see any actual source that says we extended his deal so just going off the info we have. I'd imagine that situation is the exact reason we put a break clause into the 2-year loan, just in case Perv decided not to extend.

Not saying he isn’t signing, but if he was in training with Udinese today then he obviously wasn’t at London Colney for a tour yesterday

 

What part of I accepted I was wrong about Deeney didn’t you understand in my first reply? If he’s on 100k basic, fair enough. I still think it’s made up with extras to get to that amount but frankly I don’t even care!

As I’ve been at pains to state - I am not ITK. And I’m thankful for that. I know a couple of club employees and occasionally pass on what I’m told on the odd time I ask them a question. I trust what they tell me but I also wouldn’t even say it’s going to be 100% accurate - I never have done. But I won’t bother anymore because the hassle on here isn’t worth it. Some seem to take real offence and want to use it as a stick to beat with and frankly I can’t be bothered.

You say you’re just going off what info we have - what info says he was in the last year of his deal?

 

Never seen this guy play but he certainly seems to have a better recent pedigree that almost anyone else we have been linked with, I like the sound of him so hope this comes off.

The message was “Troost-Ekong, Five-Year deal on the way” my other ‘sources’ I hate that word btw; are the three Watford scouts who follow me on twitter. Forestieri was originally going to sign for us but changed minds, signed his contract for Udine at LC

LouOrns in your opinion what is the % likelihood of Sarr Suarez Deeney and Gray staying? To me it looks like: Sarr 5% Suarez 30% Deeney 50% Gray 90%. What do u think?

 

As for the loan maybe they had an option to extend depending on how he performed. A Gentleman's agreement in place with the player or Osasuna. Nobody knows. Anyway he's gone so who gives a ****.
